The same thing that happened to Shiny and Angie with COH Amber happened to me too. How funny!

I ended up getting two pairs ( different washes and pocket designs), one in 24 and the other in 25. They are currently at the tailor being hemmed. Once they are ready and I start wearing them I will report which size I am happier with and what's the bagging like.

The jeans look wonderful, Karlie!

Actually, what happened to Shiny happened to me with these jeans. Similarly anyway. I was also in-between a size 24 and 25 with the Ambers. The denim on this cut is really soft which makes it feel loser around your legs. I opted to stay with the 25. It made a nice change to my extra sleek skinnies. But to answer your question – no bagging out.

I had a similar experience as San, when I bought my COH's. I thought the 25's were just right comfortable. The sales lady insisted I size down to a 24, because they'd stretch. The size 24 actually looked great too - no creasing, no muffin top - but just felt uncomfortably tight in the waist band and they sort of dug annoyingly into my hip bone? They looked fine, but didn't feel fine, whereas the 25's looked fine too (I really couldn't tell any difference), but felt a whole lot better. Like second skin, even.

So I spent a lot of time in the dressing room going back and forth between the 24 and 25 and fretting about it. This was my first premium jeans purchase, and I was used to non-premiums stretching out a considerable amount.

Ultimately I went with the 25. And, turns out, they shrunk a bit in the wash!

I do run mine through the dryer a few times before hemming, because since there's 4 of us here in this house who do laundry, it's a given that at some point my jeans are going to accidentally go into the dryer. Also I admit, I like the option to be able to run them through the dryer if I'm faced with a laundry emergency! So I want to ensure ALL the shrink is out before hemming.

So after twice through in the dryer, I am really REALLY glad I stuck with the 25. The 24 would've never worked - it would've shrunk too much.

Thank you all so much!! I'm still undecided as to if I should keep this pair or go a size down. These were on clearance and, at the time, the next size down wasn't available for the sale price. I think I'm going to head out today and try on this style (they're the COH Amber) in a few different sizes just to see how it compares to the ones I bought. Hopefullly that will make it clearer if mine are the correct size or not. I'd hate to have to take them back since they were such a great deal, but it will be wasted money ito keep them if they don't fit right.

Karlie, I think the jeans you are wearing in the picture look like they fit just right. I have these jeans and they do not stretch out too much. I wear a 27. A 26 is too tight, a 28 is loosly comfortable. I think if you could try the 3 sizes you would know exactly what I mean. From the looks of the picture, I'd say yours are just right. They should not bag in the butt at all. In fact I read on a website selling the jeans to expect them to be snug and then conform to your body with wear. I have found this to be true.
I have had a sales person talk me into buying a 26 when there was no 27 avaiable. I walked around the store a while, I asked another sales person if they looked to tight, she said no. I just didn't feel right in them. I returned them and waitied to get my proper size. I think they are too tight if they give me a horizontal line across the back of my thigh.
Now the rest of the story is, the young sales clerk that sold me the size too small, was a very young, firm, muscular built gal. She had just purchased her pair of jeans and had me put my hand in the waistband and feel how tight they were, and I'm telling you they were tight. They looked good on her though. Her opinion was that you should get them just as tight as you can get into, I don't go quite that tight.

My Citizens have stretched just a touch- really, just enough to make them fit perfectly as I bought them a tad snug. Not enough that they will bag or look sloppy.

I have had terrible luck with Rich and Skinny. They are beautiful jeans but sadly have stretched so badly and gotten all baggy around the thighs and bum. I ended up giving one pair away and tailored the other.

IME, they stretch, but minimally. When I buy premium jeans, I buy the tightest ones I can fit into comfortably and wear them around the house for a few days till they've stretched out perfectly (to avoid looking sausage like in public). Then I was them in cold water and never ever put them in the dryer. Bu they don't stretch at all like Gap or BR jeans - which seem to have limitless stretch!

I should add that, compared to non-premium, the COH's don't stretch.

I mean they do - a little - but NOTHING like non-premium brands including Gap, DNKY, and Jcrew, which all give me baggy butt syndrome within hours, and need to be thrown into the dryer on hot to shrink back up. If that's what you're used to, you have nothing to worry about!

I'm here!

They do stretch out, but not a whole lot. I wear mine several times between washes. The first day, they are the tightest. It seems they reach a certain amount of stretch, then stop.

Which ones are these? My Ambers stretch the least - they barely stretch at all. The Elson's stretch the most, but we're still not talking that much. I suspect the Elson's have stretched more simply because I wear them the most. They've gotten softer and softer with wear too.

None of my premium denim has stretched at all. I don't have any experience with CoH specifically though. Where's Shiny?

I bought a pair of COH jeans the other night. They fit just about perfect as they are, but I'm starting to get concerned that they will grow/stretch as I wear them and look loose and sloppy between washings. They're 2% spandex, which allows a good deal of give, but should I expect them to stretch out a lot? I bought them on clearance and the next size down wasn't available, so I can't try both sizes on and compare the fit.

I posted a pic of me in the jean in a previous thread, but here it is again:
