My first dog, Portia (a wheaten terrier), had Lyme in the 1990s before there was a vaccine. And she did indeed become very weak and hardly able to walk (unless she was crazy excited). She made a full recovery after having antibiotic therapy. I know all to well the helpless feeling when our fur babies get sick. Ginger and I are sending healing thoughts. I hope you find the cause and Koda is back to walking with you soon. </p> <p>My Bailey had IVDD, a ruptured disc in his neck and was basically paralyzed. I think he was around 7 when it happened. I did tons of research after his diagnosis. Long story short, I was able to avoid a risky surgery by taking him to the chiropractor and eliminating all jumping. It required re-training him and a lot of discipline on our part, but to the specialists surprise it worked.
