For several seasons now, this type of platform on all sorts of footwear was the it shoe. That is changing - especially for Fall 2013. <br /><br />But as I mentioned before, things don't change in retail overnight. And stores are still selling these types of very high platforms, because there will continue to be a market for it - albeit small.<br /><br />I'm a nay vote though. I don't see these as a mainstay style - especially not in a Prada. Minus the front platform and therefore with a lower heel, they would have more mainstay potential. <br /><br />That's why the classic Christian Louboutain three inch stiletto pump with a variety of toe shapes keeps on selling, year after year, at $800. It has staying power.
