Kappy and Cheryl, Thank you so much for chiming in.

Kyle, Thanks for your advise, I like the idea of a lighter top, just haven't been able to find the right shade. Maybe a silver color might work, cremes and off-whites haven't worked so far. but I like the idea of less contrast. I'll keep looking!

Renata-thanks for your decisive vote, that helps!

Alaska girl-Yay! I'm not alone in my short waisted challenges. You know of what I speak-much more at ease with tops untucked, but just threw it out there for the heck of it!

Beautiful skirt! I agree that the untucked works best, but I do like it tucked with the blazer, too.

Hello non-tucking sistah! I love the skirt and I think the untucked works best, although the tucked version looks better than you might think. I have broad shoulders and a short/no waist, and tucking this kind of skirt always makes me FEEL like it's up around my ears, whether it is or not.

Here's what I think:
#1 tucked with yellow shoes
#2 with a belt and pewter shoes
#3 with a blazer and yellow shoes
That's a great skirt for summer!

Carole, I disagree that you can't wear tucked blouses. I might even slightly prefer it that way, but you should wear what makes you happy, because they both look good. I echo the idea of trying a lighter top for less contrast, and with the citron shoes it may be a more cohesive look overall, but with pops of springy color. Very pretty, as always.

Thanks, Kappy! Good idea about the lower contrast top, I will try that! Glad to know the untucked versions get YLF approval. and Yes, the Fidji's are very comfy. I have very bad feet and can't wear heels. Period. I discovered the brand here about a year ago, after a recommendation from Angie. I have never spent so much on shoes before. But I am happy to have found a comfortable alternative to heels, fashionable and kinda edgie! I have 2 pairs, and looks forward to adding more to my wardrobe.

That skirt is fantastic! Only once??? Noooooo! You need to wear it a lot more. I love all the untucked versions; they are all great variations. Have you tried tucking a lower contrast top, maybe you would be more comfortable with that look (and this is coming from a person who never tucks)? Are those Fidjis super comfy? I am looking for comfy heels (I'm not much of a high heel wearer).

Love the skirt and I like the un-tucked version especially if you feel more comfortable that way. #3 looks great with the BF jacket and I think both shoes will work. The Citron shoes look good of course with the citron belt. I think a cropped denim jacket would look good.

Angie, thanks for that! I really love this skirt but have only worn it once (bad girl). I'm so glad to have found that both these tops work with it.

Refugee-Thank you! You would think that lots of tops would go with this, but it isn't as easy as it looks. The silk fabric and all the different variations of each hue make it interesting but harder to pin point a good compliment! The dullness of the grey helps balance things out.

Thanks, Joy. I knew there would be someone out there liking the tucked version best. I'm not sure I can do it, but I'm glad to know that it works.

What a beautiful skirt! My favorite is the tucked version in #1 or second picture. I like your dark denim jacket. A white/cream jacket might also work.

Gorgeous skirt! I like both the tucked and untucked. Go with what makes you feel most fab. I also like both shoes with this. You could also wear a lot of different styles/colors of tops with this skirt. Hope this gets into your regular rotation. So many possiblilties!

Gorgeous skirt, Carole! I prefer the tops untucked. I love all variations untucked, in fact. I don't mind the tucked shot in 1 but I like it better untucked. Love the citron shoes but I think the Fdji's work well too. Love the BF blazer--not so much the Tahari in this configuration (but I remember loving the Tahari in another post.) Gorgeous capsule you have there!

Angie's post today was very timely for me. I'm getting better at knowing when something isn't right, but still struggle to fix it and usually just give up!

"Is it the length of the item?" Yes, this is the thing that always trips me up and still can't figure it out by myself. Give it your best shot, dearest YLF'rs.

I bought this skirt last year, love the watercolor print (I'm a watercolor artist), but haven't worn it like I should...

1) I always wear my tops out. My extremely short waist and broad shoulders make tucking very difficult...see what I mean. This is a breezy steel gray cotton type bow front top, with cute little covered buttons you can't see (from the GAP), I'm wearing a gold tone chain belt with it and thought my citron colored shoes go nicely, but if I'll be on my feet more than a few hours, these are my Fidji's and I think they are a pretty good alternative. Which looks better- tucked or un-tucked?

2) Another steel gray cowl neck top (also from the GAP), un -tucked, with and without a narrow citron belt.

3) To cover up it's a BF blazer or my Tahari dark denim type jacket.

Honest feedback and lessons appreciated!
