Thanks for the replies everyone!
I think I will wind up either having these pants taken in at the waist, or passing them on altogether. The crotch point has dropped quite a lot, too, but still looks okay. When combined with the sloppy hem though, something must be done.

These seem more like straight legs than tapered to my eye. Since they cover your shoes, I would hem them according to where the front breaks. You have enough width that you'll have a straight back. I like mine that fit like this to have a slight break in the front. Not enough that you get mega wrinkle. Just enough to break the straight line and slow down your eye.

I had to recheck this myself a few weeks ago! I was getting some new pants hemmed and I wanted to see if others had other opinions for a straighter leg like this. Maybe thoughts on length had changed! Turns out, nah. And with tapers the back hem can be even further off the ground.

Inge pulled a bunch of photos of Angie with scrunched tapers and heels for me. (Inge is magic.) http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....-and-heels

They do seem a little long. You could also taper the hems a little and scrunch. Sveta successfully did that to her trousers.

To my eye there does seem too much length. Is it poss you have lost a bit of weight causing them to drop lower? Maybe they just need a belt.

I've been doing a fair amount of traveling and training, which has meant for long days and little time to play on YLF. :(
However, I do have a pressing question about PPL for tapered trousers. What is it? Does it exist? I'm concerned that my slouchy trousers are becoming too slouchy and verging into sloppy territory. I feel like the hem looks strange....or is my eye just not used to it? Any help is appreciated!
