Thank you all. I have thought about the scarf a bit more today, and encouraged by the comments here, I feel positive about it. I am comfortable with it, I think when I have my red bit in my hair freshly done, it will look better.

Angie, I don't think the scarf and flowered shirt go together. Well may be, but I would may be need to be in quite a maximal mood!

Thank you UmmLila, Bridgie and CindySmith.

Thank you Skylurker. I haven't had a black background flowered shirt, but I think it will work. I don't often wear colour at work, but every so often, may be once a week, or every two weeks, have a colour moment!

Inge, so wise, regarding the detailing on a plain black shirt, and I think I will send the plain black shirt back. It is too pricey for me to wear and put in the washing machine, without being overly worried about washing it.

Thank you Staysfit. Wise words on the pink pattern. I think may be I will keep it for a year / may be 18 months. I think I have only one or two patterned shirts, so it is worth keeping on this basis. It is just that it has a shelf life!

Thank you Sisi, I am not sure if they are dianthus. Maybe, I will check!

Thank you all so much for your wise words and encouragement. The scarf is definitely a keeper, the flowery shirt is almost certainly a keeper, the plain black shirt, is going back. So helpful to have such great comments. Thank you!

(PS Tux is waving to you all!)

You picked such a great name for your cat! Totally suits him!
I'm not a scarf person but that one looks lovely on you. I am not sure about the blouse for your work only because not much like what I've seen you wear before? And also pretty distinctive so you may get tired of wearing it, as you think?

Scarf is gorgeous with your hair, Jane. Is the background black? I think it's work appropriate.

Pink shirt is fab with your complexion. Does it work with the scarf in person?

Tux is precious.

The scarf looks more boho than edgy to me, I can picture it with casual wear, not with your polished work wear (maybe because I've mostly seen you in black & white at work so far).

I like the print shirt (predictably, since I wear a Liberty print shirt myself), I think the black backround should make it versatile.

I completely agree with what Sisi and Staysfit wrote about the scarf: it is beautiful, the colours are flattering on you, and "classic" enough to work for any work environment (while also fun to play around with for casual weekend looks).

The floral patterned shirt is a beauty too, and it could be quite versatile for you because you can both wear it with and without a jacket. Dress it up for work, dress it down for leisure... E.g. it would look marvelous with that gorgeous black blazer and skirt outfit you showed us earlier this week, Jane (we suggested a brooch, dangly earrings, a neckerchief etc. to mix things up a bit, and this shirt would do exactly that too).

If you're hesistating about the silk black shirt, then it might be worth having another look around. FWIW, for me, a deciding factor might be whether or not it has interesting/unique design details that make it different from other black shirts out there.

Tux is soooo cute!-)

I think the scarf is flattering on you and the colors and pattern are beautiful. It's not something you typically see and I would think this has long term wear potential. I like the shape/style of the blouse. The print looks. Nice on you in a picture, but I agree that it might get less wear than a solid top. It's the sort of thing that I would wear, put in my closet for a while and then pulls out and wear again. If it is very expensive, and that bothers you, I would return it.

The colors of the scarf are very flattering on you in my opinion. I do not think it is too edgy for work. Even in the most serious work environment that scarf would look just chic and kind of classic. The blouse is pretty, very patterned, yes, but in a pleasant way. The flowers are small (are they dianthus?). If you predict that you will wear it a lot it I think it is worth getting it. Your kitty is terribly cute! Those white whiskers on black face, adorable!

Dear Fabbers, I have bought three items from The Kooples and I would really appreciate your views.

The scarf is kind of purposefully faded, silk with very light wool backing. I like this as it has a bit of edge to it I think, good colours and slightly arty. I think I would wear a lot. Question is, does the fading make it slightly too edgy for work. I don't think so, but...

The pink shirt is gorgeous and I think I will keep. I will wear this a lot but I think I will eventually get slightly fed up with it after 2 to 18 months and just won't be able to wear it any longer. It has a black background and I would wear for work and home ;with black jeans). Is it too patterned though?

Finally a lovely silk shirt, classic black. Elegant and gorgeous. No photos. I am not sure that it will be a keeper as it was a bit pricey and I may be able to find a more serviceable black shirt from Karen Millen or Reis.

Tux enjoyed the packaging!

I'd welcome your comments.
