You guys sure are brave--if I had any pictures to post, I don't know if I could do it, even though I was a little girl for most of the decade.</p> <p>If I did post pics, they would contain:</p> <p>-Heeled sneakers and wingtip oxfords from Payless. The latter were my favorite shoes ever (and go figure I totally want a pair now). Small wonder my feet are so messed up from all those years of cheap shoes!</p> <p>-Long velvet skirt with slit to show off my combat boots. This was my goth outfit as a Freshman.</p> <p>-Baggy oversized tshirt reined in with my neon green shirt clip, short skirt, magenta sodapop flats, and side ponytail tied with a scrunchie. I think this was my favorite outfit, and probably the most quintessential 90's outfit in my wardrobe.</p> <p>-I loved animals, so I let the world know that by wearing them whenever possible (I don't mean fur, I mean shirts with pictures of dogs and cats and horses).</p> <p>-Keds sneakers</p> <p>-Baggy jeans with sweaters that had stripes going across my once non-existent bust.</p> <p>-Towards the latter part of the decade, I lived in oversized tshirts that advertised my favorite bands. Bush, Nirvana, No Doubt, and 311 shirts were among my favorites. I always made sure to look for the biggest size possible for maximum bagginess. When it got cold, I would llayer long sleeve t's under them, especially a purple jailbird striped thermal top.</p> <p>-In 7th grade I liked to wear a ring on all 10 fingers (usually from Claire's). I would bulk them up with masking tape to make them small enough to fit. In 8th grade, I swapped out the rings for stacking loads of choker-length necklaces on my giraffe neck. I had an affinity for hemp necklaces especially, but also wore those silver ball chain necklaces.</p> <p>-As a kid, I got all my dress shoes from Buster Brown. What happened to that store? That was the last time I remember actually enjoying shoe shopping.</p> <p>-Blossom hats, of course. At the tail end of the 80's and into the early 90's, I was wearing the ditsy florals - lots of tea length Laura Ashley Dresses and loads of colorful Benneton Sweaters. I traded in the tea lengths for the super mini, mid-thigh length in college but my love affair with the ditsy floral did not end there. Around the mid-90's I traded in all the pastels for lots and lots of black! One of my favorite outfits was a pair of short, short, slightly flared black ditsy floral shorts paired with black tights, black ankle boots or 3" stacked heel penny loafers and a black short sleeve mock neck sweater and my black leather bomber jacket.
