I love all of these, but I have always been a fan of pairing brown with other colors.
I like it with red, many shades of pink as well as turquoise.

I saw a woman in an airport wearing white jeans, a brown blazer, brown moccasins and a beautiful silk scarf. Dang, she looked smart!

Thanks Sveta and Joy!

Sveta, where do you live??? Here it is -11C and it is said to have "warmed up"!!!

Joy, Good point about the cuffs. But in this tunic, the sleeves are very tight so reversing is impossible. Does it bother your eyes like this? I'm curious to know...

Those trousers are fab! I especially like 1-3 with the beautiful sweater.
If sleeves pop out, I like them best turned back over the jacket or something to look deliberate rather than like I'm wearing the wrong length, if that makes sense.

I also think both of them work beautifully, Krish. These trousers fit you really well. Like you I am in love with the second look - that shape and style of the top works great with these trousers.
Spring will be here soon, I promise!:-) We already have +8C today...

Thank you all for your feedback!
Suz, I'll pay even more attention to the cuffs. I find most of the time on me it looks 100% better. It may be because I like lots of detailing, so it ties elements together?

You look sensational in these. LOVE them with the brown sweater. I love that type of funnel neck with a zip. So practical and so flattering. And the blue top with the asymmetrical neckline is gorgeous! You will really enjoy wearing that when the weather improves.

For me, with the cuffs, it is half and half. Some days I really prefer them to show (contra Angie); other days the outfits seem to work better without that touch. It just depends on how colours are working elsewhere in the outfit, I think, and how much (or little) embellishment I'm otherwise wearing.

Here are two more possibilities with my new Simon Chang high rise brown twill pants.

I think part of my previous malaise (http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....e-holidays) may be that need a slimmer matching brown belt for it. Thank you for encouraging me.

Outfit 1 (pics 1 - 3) : Monochrome Symphony

Here worn with a sweater my mon made, orinally for my son when he was 10, from a vintage French pattern, but I am the one wearing it all the time! It has a huge turtleneck fastened on the side by a long zipper which starts on the arm. When zipped, the neck stand up in a sturdy way, but if I unzip part of it it lays flat in a very artsy way. (pic 3).
Because of the monochrome, I instinctively "accept" these pants better.

Brown Clarks Booties
Simon Chang pants
Mom's sweater intended for GS, worn by D
Soft Works Petites faux leather brown jacket
Hedgren dark purple bag

Outfit 2 (pics 4 -7): Wish-I-Could-Wear-Now

... but will have to wait another two months before I can sport it. I love this one, it makes me feel good. But the midnight blue top is just too thin for now, neck is too bare, and jacket a tad too rigid to be worn under the big parka coat. It will work under my other long Angora coat, which is now not enough to withstand the weather.

I have noticed that with my body type, and contrary to Angie's personal preferences, sleeves popping out of toppers'sleeves tend to look really good on me! I also like to fold them above a jacket's sleeves. I find it brings unity. But I still don't know why.

Clarks brown booties
Simon Chang high rise brown twill pants
Kookai midnight blue asymmetrical hem 80's inspired tunic (tight around the buttocks and loose on top with Dolma sleeves)
Club Monaco jean jacket with leather detailing
Navy heart shape purse from Mango
Pendant made by a friend in Morocco

Thanks for looking!
