I like both, but LOVE the second one. (I mean the one you've already bought). I think it suits you better. So I hope it can be altered. I hear your frustration on that. It can be an issue for me, too.

Both are lovely, but nr 2 is special to my eyes for a matter I cannot explain! Maybe the lower contrast suits you self better but the centre black line accent is still there to elongate your frame, Miss Skyscraper:-)

Thanks!

Jorocha, the angle I have taken the photo covers my chest. Sadly, since I am an A Cup, and the rest of my body isn't tiny, the problem is definitely there!

I agree you can't go wrong with either. But... #2 is hotter! Find that dressmaker! (In the pic, though, it doesn't seem to need any adjustments...)

I like both too!
#1 looks slightly longer and less waist-defining, and the brighter print looks very Spring-y. You can't go wrong with either.

I see you all agree with me! Good point Manidipa, though I can assure you I will not be going over the price point of dress #2!

Wow, these are both fabulous options. I agree that the bright print in #1 is lovely, and the fit in #2 is very very good.

I think you are a win either way.

Agree with Deborah. But like I often note, sometimes a side by side comparison tends to be unfair simply because there is not a thing wrong with #1 if you never saw #2. And similarly, I bet we could find you a stellar frock to outshine #2 too, especially if we go up to the next price point or designer level.

Anne I like both. The deeper colours in the first dress are quite fab on you but there is something rather special about the overal fit of the second dress

Could 1 work as an alternative to 2?

I have bought no 2 but am not sure if I can get it altered to take in at the bust. Mum reckons it was too hard. I am going to ask a dressmaker (and also go back to the shop and see if I have magically gone down a size on the bottom!)

If those don't work, how does 1 stand up as an alternative? The quality isn't quite as good, but is acceptable.
