I like the popover, provided the new size fits right.

And I am one of those who likes purchasing multiples of items I really like and that fit well.

Thanks for the love for the pose. So nice to occasionally dress for one's fantasy life.

Claire, you are SO not old enough to be my mom. But you can be my cooler older sister whose clothes I steal (read: copy) sometimes.

Love the black jacket on you! Is it the asymmetrical one? You must have it. As much as I love mine, I wouldn't duplicate it. What if something comes along next fall that you like even more? Sorry to be your Mom!

Thanks all. :)

I ordered the larger size of popover last night. *crossing my fingers it fits this time*

I do have a polka dot blouse with much smaller dots that this was intended to replace. The blouse passes the husband filter when layered underneath something so the dots are less prominent. I really am motivated to make this top work - in my head, I can see it being worn with the blue halogen skirt and my black waist belt.

The cognac is a brighter color and has different colored hardware, as you can see in this thread below:

http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....her-jacket

This morning, I'm feeling it isn't sensible to keep both when I don't know how well these jackets are going to wear or their workhorse potential. I'm concerned the stretchy ribbing fabric at the side may fade/pill after a year and I'd need to replace the jacket anyway. Eventually, I'd probably want to upgrade to an all pleather jacket that would last a little longer.

My strategy will be:

1) Just wear the black jacket for now and hold off on the cognac. See how it feels after a few uses.

2) Try styling the cognac jacket with a few outfits and see how easy it is to make it work.

The jacket is fab and definitely a keeper. I would be tempted to get the other colour as well - I have two of the exact same leather jackets, one in cognac and one in navy. When you find a good fit it's not a bad thing to duplicate.

I like the popover and think a size up would work really well. But if you're not feeling the dotty love, then pass it.

The jacket looks good on you. The polka dot blouse looks good too because I can't tell from the picture that it's so tight. If you like the blouse, I would size up. If the polka dots are going to make you self-conscious then I would just return it.

Polka dots aren't for everyone but I agree, the dot size can make a difference. I find this to be true with stripes too. I prefer either very thin widely spaced stripes or very large stripes over the more equal strips that for some reason make my eyes hurt. I used to have this very pretty black and white polka dot dress - LOVED it but it was so memorable that I felt I could only wear it a couple of times before everyone "knew" it.

I'd like to see a better photo of the jacket before giving an opinion - the side shot doesn't show much to me.

The popover is cute! It would go with any of your halogen skirts tucked in too.
Sorry hubby is not a fan. Can you try to size up or is that not an option?

The jacket is amazing! Have you tried the cognac on? Sometimes multiple colours is practical; sometimes an item works better in one shade and the other gets neglected. Which scenario will you find yourself in?

Polka dots are a question of taste and your husband finding them clownish suggests he just doesn't like them; you certainly don't look clownish, it's lovely on you!

Is the other colour quite bright? As in, would it function more as a bright than a neutral? Both may be a good idea if so...

Fashionista: The polka dots remind him of clown outfits. I think it's due to the size of the dots.

Your pose in 2 really is making that jacket look like donned by a spy. But I love the jacket and that blouse too. Why did your husband think it clownish?

1) Despite what it looks like, the popover is skin-tight around the hips. I could try sizing up, but am not sure if it's worth it. The husband was not a fan of the polka dots - he thought they looked clownish. What do you think?

2) The black express moto is the opposite of a disappointment. I feel like a spy/straight out of the Matrix. I'm half tempted to keep the cognac as well, especially with the current buy one, get one 50% off sale, but having two identical jackets in different colors is probably overkill, right?
