They fit differently than jeans, but I think I'll like them. They fit more like dress pants, but the legs are narrow enough to tuck inside boots. I'm just wondering if maybe I should have ordered a size smaller, but then they might not fit me across the hips. Being an X shape, I always have to be concerned about whiskering across the hips. Definitely not a good look! I think I can make these pants fit better by wearing a belt. NYDJ sizing in general is on the large size. I am currently having my Lord &amp; Taylor black pants altered by Wonder Woman (lengthed to get some scrunch and tapered from mid calf down) and they have the potential to work with this look but I suspect the leg length will be too long for flats.</p> <p>So.....I wouldn't mind getting a pair of ponte knit pants for casual wear with flats and could also wear them to work. I like "double duty" items!</p> <p>I know NYDJ are hit and miss for many people, but these are available at my local Bay and include petite lengths. What do you think of them?
