				<description>&#060;p&#062;What exactly is ponte knit and how warm is it?  I'm in the Caribbean - usual temperatures in the 80s and air-conditioning in my usual haunts will sometimes take it down to the 70s.  Is ponte knit something that I could consider?  I can tolerate heavier clothing in the heat than persons accustomed to more temperate climes but wonder if ponte knit would be too warm here even for me.
