I wear short-sleeved polos sometimes - mostly to the bakery. I like to wear them layered. I tend not to put up the collar. I go more for earnest and wholesome than charming and fetching when it comes to polos. You also have to be careful, as a boy, not to cross into smarmy territory with the turned up collar. Just casually or actually as an outfit out and about? Do you prefer to wear the collar up on a polo shirt or down? The reason I'm asking this is because of my son, he's 14 and he's started going out with friends and he's been wearing a lot of polo shirts, he wants to know if it's 'cool' to have it up, and should he have the buttons undone or done up?
