The only way I can possibly choose is if I am allowed to keep either my scarves or my necklaces, even if I can't wear one of them. Necklaces I must keep because many are family heirlooms, and scarves I must keep because nearly all were either bought by me as a memento of a trip or given to me by important people in my life. </p> <p>That said, if I can only wear one for the rest of my life, I guess I am on team scarf, but it is so painful! I love necklaces, but feel that scarves are more versatile in my life. </p> <p>In addition to utilizing scarves in the intended manner (worn around neck), I have also used scarves as a blanket, as a towel, as an emergency "there is no bride here" cover-up at a wedding, to flag down help while stranded on the side of the road, to play tug of war with my nephew, as an ace bandage, as a berry-picking container, as a way to keep rain off my glasses when caught without an umbrella...well, the list could go on and on.
