I love tea at all times and especially enjoy a cup of chai tea with soy milk and a small bit of honey. Such a great taste and complement to gingersnap cookies or pumpkin bread.

In winter I like hot tea (English breakfast) with whole milk and stevia, as a lunch or afternoon beverage.

In the morning, though, I love coffee with half and half. This summer I've been drinkng a lot of iced coffee: strong cold brew coffee (not leftover!) with whole milk and stevia.

I drink herbal, black, and green tea. The herbal and green I drink mostly plain, but occasionally sweetened with honey. The black I drink with a splash of milk and no sugar. I only drink hot tea when the weather is cool, though. I occasionally drink iced tea when the weather is warm.

Another morning coffee drinker, but in the afternoon it's tea. I like most teas, but try to stick with non-caffeinated herbal teas. I really like hibiscus tea (iced in the summer). It lowers blood pressure!

My local Starbucks does the herbal teas very poorly. They use super-hot water suitable for coffee for their teas which makes the oils and smells from the tea vaporize before it gets to me. Their baristas don't seem to get it. It's very frustrating.

I am a creature of habit. I start my day with a cup of coffee with milk from Nespresso machine first thing when I wake up. And in the afternoon I have my big pot of black tea with some milk foam. More caffeine than that and I have trouble sleeping.

I'm a morning coffee drinker, but I like afternoon tea on occasion. I prefer black tea. Green tea tastes like wet paper towels and herbal tea is very deeply frustrating, because it smells so enticing but usually tastes like water from the bottom of a vase of cut flowers (mint tea is an exception). I take my tea with milk and no sugar (unless it's iced tea, in which case lots of sugar!).

I love tea, especially early on a weekend morning, when I am the first up! With milk, Twinings Breakfast Tea is my fav. I sometimes have it with sugar, when I need a boost! I find Green Tea slightly bitter sometimes, and I would really like to like it.

I've not tried coffee with honey, but thank you for the tip BC.

I'm a big tea drinker and so is my husband (tea was one of our wedding themes, long story). I only came to coffee at age 30, while I was dealing with bad allergies that made me sleepy all the time while trying to write my dissertation. I prefer black tea like English breakfast, with a spot of milk. Herbal is okay in the evenings and for any digestive issues I have. My husband prefers green and oolong, very pure teas. I don't like green much myself, though it took me years to admit it.

I am amazed this thread has come up again after SEVEN years!!

For what it's worth , my tea habits have changed quite a bit since I started it. 2 years ago I gave up milk with it (except for the occasional chai latter) and about 2 months ago I cut down to 2 cups a day (from 8+) to try and keep my iron levels up.

My family could hardly believe it! I drink a lot of herbal tea now - favourite is licorice. but also like peppermint.

I drink a quart of black tea every day, sweetened with a little stevia. I'll drink coffee only if tea isn't available. I don't like coffee unless it has a lot of sugar in it, so that's the problem. Coffee tastes better, IMO, with honey in it. It doesn't take much honey, but the honey takes the bitter taste out of the coffee.

I drink black tea every day, at least two cups, sometimes three. I love coffee, too, but it doesn't agree with me. Every once in a while I'll add milk and sugar for a nostalgic trip back to early days working in the UK, where a couple times a day someone would put on the electric kettle and prepare tea for everyone.

I have moderate problems not spilling tea on myself and ruining my shirts.

I never drink coffee. I love strong, black tea (Earl Grey, / Prince of Wales / English Breakfast), often with milk, never with sugar. Eight or more cups a day. When at home or at the office, I always have some tea nearby.

Though I prefer black tea, I sometimes drink herbal tea. A recent favourite is the mix of mint and licorice. Yes, the mix may sound strange, but the taste is really wonderful! (Don't add milk or sugar.)
