I also bought a cheap pair of crops in petite and took out the hems. I turned mine inside out and measured the inseam of a pair that I already had and like the length of. Then I measured on the pair I was cutting and drew a line across using a ruler to keep it straight. Make sure that the hem lines up.<br />I pinned them on both sides of the cutting line to ensure that the fabric didn't move underneath when I started to cut.<br />I then washed mine so the denim would fray. I also marked on my leg 2 and 4 inches above my ankle bone just to see how those lengths would look.
