I'd wear them with skirts and dresses, too, but this was what I could manage this evening. They felt tight over the corduroys, but fit pretty well over the jeans. Still contemplating the fit and may take them into the store to see what my shoe guy says. (When I wear olive, I often pair it with black rather than brown.) And yet, they don't feel redundant; olive is has a distinctly different, softer effect in grounding a look.<br />3) there aren't all that many things in my closet that I wear tall boots with. I wear short ones much more often.<br />4) they might not literally replace my brown boots, but I'm not sure I would still want brown tall boots, too. This color is really more compatible with the colors I wear. And I have gorgeous dark brown moto boots and dark brown booties when I do want those shades. </p> <p>Overall, I think I'm comfortable with this duplication. I want these work, and I think they probably will work. I wasn't dying to get them off after wearing them around the house. I am still going to try them some more, at different times of day, etc. </p> <p><b>Missvee</b>, good idea. I definitely want to try them over skinny pants. Sometimes it's actually easier to put boots on over skinny pants, anyway--perhaps the fabric is already compressing the leg a bit.<br /><b>Caro</b>, I like the image you've conjured. Pliner Devi 3 in olive. (I have the Devi 2, from 2 years ago, in black.) Not surprisingly, I love the way they look. The color is a dark shade of olive that I like to wear--my favorite neutral. The new boots feel a lot tighter through the calf, and also a bit tighter through the width of the foot, than my current black ones. It's been a long time since the black ones were new, though, and I can't remember how tight they were when I first got them. Looking back now, at the <a href="http://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/wiw-and-wib-at-nas" rel="nofollow">post where I shared the Devi 2</a> boots, I have to laugh at my comment: "I think my boot wardrobe is complete now!" Ah, how little I knew then!</p> <p>I'm going to wear the new ones around the house and see if they loosen up. They already do feel better after an hour or so of wearing them while I sit around. If they become more comfortable, I'll try styling them with some<br /> outfits. It's awfully hot right now to think about that, though. (We<br /> don't have air conditioning, since we have about two weeks of hot<br /> weather a year here.)</p> <p>Meanwhile, here they are, unstyled, with what I wore to work today.
