I have the split neck top (three of them) and also the drape front, all in large. They are plenty roomy and do run a bit large. I love them. The sleeves don't do anything bad at all. The material doesn't show any wear and I've worn them constantly.

I bought this, and returned, not because of the way it looked, but because the little cuffs on the sleeves seemed like they were going to constantly be coming unrolled. I even tried tacking a little stitch and ended up removing it and sending the blouse back. But I don't hear others complaining about that. Maybe I'm just neurotic ; ).

One issue for me is that I have broad shoulders but relatively skinny arms, so I get the worst of both worlds - when the shoulders fit, the sleeves are often floppy. I think that's why I struggle with this cut.

Kelly I bought, and subsequently returned, the blouse below because my shoulders made those sleeves look like little caps that pulled quite a lot on my arms. This one looks like it's got more sleeve room, so it could be OK on you. I personally like that little sleeve flip it's got, I have a sweater that does it and love it BUT the sleeves are quite a lot longer which is why it works for me.

I actually am not an IT but wore this shirt today. I am an hourglass with broad shoulders, but like how drapey it is on top, and not so drapey in the middle.

I have one, and I really like it. I did not size down, and it's quite roomy, but I've worn it several times and it really works. I'm not an IT but I do have strong shoulders for a rectangle. Have not washed so do not know how it will hold up. And I bought the B&W pattern, which I really like.

Thanks, Elizabeth! I've read the reviews about sizing down but I usually never do because I like the looser fit through the shoulders. Your input really helps. I think I will go ahead and order the Medium regular to get that extra drape. Might I ask how tall you are? I'd probably only semi-tuck this anyway so a little extra length will help keep in place. (I knew there was an IT who rocked this top! Thanks again!)

I have two of these. I originally ordered the black on in large, because it seemed to be drapy enough to handle being too big, but if it's too small, it's too small. It was pretty roomy, so I ordered the red in the medium. I think I prefer the black, however... it's probably more because the black has a jersey knit back on it, so is stretchy, and the red is the same fabric as the front. I think all the plain ones have the jersey backs.

I run between medium and large on most things, depending on brand and fit and amount of drape. Would you like any measurements?

Because I liked these so much, I ordered the long sleeved one, also in medium, and it was returned. All the reviews said to size down, but it was too small on me. It was a very different fit than the short sleeved one, so I don't know if a large would have worked, or not. Two friends also tried it, and neither of them cared for it IRL either - both had liked it online. We all found it kinda blah.

Thanks for the feedback, Fabbers! The wing effect is a definite possibility. I thought the slanted sleeve might make it okay though. It's on sale now but I will think on it a bit more--sometimes they sell out of my size and then I won't have to decide!

My thoughts on this blouse differ from the general consensus. I just don't like the fabric. It seems like it will show wear after a few washings. I have the one you showed in green only because i was in a pinch for work summer tops. It serves its purpose but I won't be doubling up on this blouse.

Yes, it is possible that in a smaller size it would have worked better - I was sized out at the bottom range.
Also, full disclosure, I also tried on the Pleione sleeveless wrap blouse in the same size (which I know you own and like), and I also did not like the fit of that one and returned it as well.

Hmm, I am an IT with a straight shoulder line and really like this blouse. I find the material very drapey and on me the cap sleeves do not wing out at all. Definitely size down if you try it.

Thanks, ladies! I'm on my phone but wanted to add that the "wing" effect is what I was hoping to avoid. I thought if the fabric is drapey enough that it might mitigate that tendency. Thanks for chiming in on this Marie!

I'm an IT, and this blouse runs large on me. I have broad shoulders but slim waist and hips, so I couldn't quite fill out the shirt even though the shoulders fit correctly. Perhaps size down or even try it in petite.

I bought this online and promptly returned it. I'm a petite IT.
I LOVE the long-sleeve pleione blouse (in the same size, PXS), but this short-sleeved one looked huge on me and the sleeves "winged" up. making my shoulder look bigger. It was also more voluminous than the long-sleeve version.
Of course, YMMV!

It's funny Kelly, as this is precisely the top that inspired me to buy the one I pictured that you commented on. It is such a pretty and flattering cut! I'm not an IT body type, at least I don't think I am, but I don't feel like this top would be unsuitable for anyone really. It's so easy to wear . (Mine is exactly the same cut as this .)

Hoping someone can save me from having to make another return Are there any ITs with this blouse? I'm looking for a couple short sleeve blouses that I can wear into the fall. Any tips on sizing? I'm a medium regular in the sleeveless faux wrap top and was planning on trying this in the medium regular as well. Thanks in advance!
