I did a quick google of "pegged trousers" - as unfrumped mentioned, the Top Shop "Mensy" trousers at Nordstroms might do it.

I love the silhouette too. In the 80's I had a couple of pairs in corduroy from Fiorucci. DKNY also made a pair a few years ago - black poplin.

HAH. Like my '80s clown pants. Love them. Unfrumped just bought a similar pair, Echo. See Find.

They sound very similar to a pair of pants my daughter bought at Urban Outfitters last year.

Kit and Ace has a couple of styles like this <https://www.kitandace.com/us/e.....men?page=2> and Athleta has one.

If you want a super-voluminous silhouette, you could think of the YLF ubiquitous Eileen Fisher harem trousers or sirwal pants generally, but they are not for dressy situations.

Oh yeah, and search "carrot leg pants" on Polyvore.

Thanks for the pics. That is a totally different kind of cuff than I envisioned. You may want to try Etsy or EBay and search for "1980's Vintage High Waisted Pants" or "1980's Vintage Pleat Front Pants".

Okay, let me see if I can get a photo. In the meantime, though, I don't think I described the "cuff" very well. They are turned up at the bottom, but not stretchy or tight around the ankle like track pants. The cuff on a track pant would completely change the vibe of the pants. I've attached a couple of photos of what the pants resemble, and they are pretty true except the pants I have have an elastic waist instead of a button closure.

Echoing unfrumped -- I would check under silhouette of "joggers" or "track pants". Nordstrom has a few offerings in this category that might be what you are looking for. Here are two:

How I found my wonderful tailor in Shreveport: went to a higher end consignment shop and asked who they used for alterations.

I've since moved away from Shreveport, far enough away that I am about to have to do the same for the Dallas area to find a tailor: call a high end boutique or consignment (one of the really really expensive places) shop and see who they use so I can try that tailor

I know Uniqlo has had some very tapered 80's style trousers -- with elastic waists. Maybe Topshop, too? You might be interested in the Find below. They are not quite as loose as what you describe, but they're great pants -- cute, comfortable, and seem like they will travel well.

Look through all of the Topshop pants on Nordstrom website. They do a lot of taper/cuff. Also would still search under "joggers" as the silhouette is similar and sometimes you'll get a hit on something that is dressy.

I have a pair of black, very inexpensive, elastic waist, pleated, and tapered leg pants with slight cuffs at the bottom (originally purchased at Nordstrom Rack). The fabric looks like rayon, but is 100% poly with slight stretch, and they are not at all snug anywhere on the body. They are totally an '80's style. I absolutely ADORE the pants, but they are wearing out from overuse.

Can anyone suggest something similar? Given how much of a workhorse they are in my wardrobe, I am willing to pay more than I normally would, so price is not necessarily a hindrance. I just cannot find the style. Most pants I see tend to be business pants, palazzo pants or bodycon. I can find so little in between.

I have even considered taking these pants to a tailor, having them take them apart, make a pattern, and make me multiple pairs in the same size/style! But I don't even know of a good tailor/ sewer around here.
