Whilst pleated skirts are fashionable at the moment, they are a classic style, so I think you could enjoy this for quite a while. Have you tried tucking in your t-shirt? This is a long midi and I agree need a short top unless you do a very tonal long top for a kind of dress look. So if the skirt sits low- waist on you, it’ll be hard to get the short top look. I also think you could really wear a shorter knife- pleat skirt well.
