As a musician I have played for many memorial services and funerals and the main idea nowadays is to wear something that will NOT attract attention. (I had to attend funerals when I owned pretty much no black and it turned out it wasn't a problem).</p> <p>Dressing respectfully and soberly can be accomplished even wearing patterns or colours.</p> <p>The important thing is being there and remaining present and supportive.
