Gaylene, my opinion is completely the opposite of the blogger that you mentioned.

To me, the length of the "burn" pants at the top are most flattering, and the wide pink capri cargo pants are the most stumpifying. My "danger zone" is anywhere between the widest part of my calf down to the ankle. If pants are wide and hit within that length, I'm going to look REALLY short and blocky.

Just when I've internalized Angie's guidelines for wearing cropped pants, I find this "advice". If I combine both, the "danger zone" now extends from my ankles to just below my knees. Maybe I'll stick to shorts and long pants.

Go to the mall. Get scanned. Walk away with a list of specific shopping recommendations for your body size and shape. I have not yet tried Me-Ality, but I am curious and may check it out. Only available in the United States at the moment: http://www.me-ality.com/
Has anyone tried this yet?

I was struggling with a silk square scarf that I'd rolled and worn in an "Angie knot"; the knot stayed put but the rolled layers kept sliding out, and the silk was too delicate for a safety pin.

Forum member La Francaise pointed me towards MaiTai collection, and specifically to her tips on anchoring square silk scarves. I love this one: http://scarfrings.blogspot.com.....-fold.html

She has other great tutorials that I'm still browsing through on the sidebar of her blog. The scarf with pearls made me think of Angie.

I really enjoyed reading Franca's thoughts on sustainability and minimalism with respect to clothing challenges with limited numbers of items. I think she brings up some interesting issues that are usually glossed over or ignored with this type of minimalism challenge.

Seventeen magazine responded to a petition (started by middle school student Julia Bluhm that quickly went viral and was signed by over 84,000 people) on overusing Photoshop by not doing much of anything.

I had a really tough time choosing between two links today! In the end I chose this video tour of a jeans factory, because it really makes me appreciate the work that goes into my favorite pairs (which seem much softer and more complexly distressed than the ones shown).

Thanks, Angie. What a fantastic outfit, I love the colour and drape and design of that skirt, love the oversized sweater too, and the high tops work great here.
