There was another excerpt in a British paper and they complained that his tips were geared more to U.S.&nbsp; But in that other article he went into much more detail about #4 - where the high priced ringer is just there to make other stuff seem more reasonable. He named the retailer as J. It's someone who teaches fashion in Norway. <br />She's done a series of posts/exercises toward finding your style. She talks to three levels of persons from someone who hasn't thought much about clothes&nbsp; to someone who has perhaps thought overmuch and intellectualizes everything. She has you analyze verbally&nbsp; and then narrow down your inspiration photos to 3 boards of 6 looks each: outfits, accessories, hair and makeup. It's very very hard for me to find 6 complete looks and I'm still stuck there. Probably explains why so many photos I save have little comments like "the collar" or other individual details. The blog itself has examples of her student's work in representing typical iconic styles through this kind of distillation.
