She’s even got my running for the bus measure of decent shoes/clothes! The authors put me in a mood to question everything they wrote though by beginning with a statement that’s flat-out wrong; before Quant, it was impossible to run in a skirt. Besides poodle skirts with saddle shoes, I’m thinking of 1930s suits that had back vents &amp; were worn with very sensible shoes. I hope my son's attitude is common among his age group and spreads. He just showed me a picture of Zendeya with heavy “smoky eye” makeup, eyeliner extending far beyond the corners of her eyes, and asked me what the point was. A couple minutes later he showed me a picture of her still with some make-up, but much less of it, there to enhance her looks rather than call attention to itself, and said how much nicer that looks. He’s done this a few times recently, is genuinely trying to figure out why women wear it.<br /> But then again, maybe he’s not so revolutionary. I remember a college boyfriend commenting that one would need a paint scraper to get close to someone we knew who consistently wore foundation.</p> <p>Kkards, I have bizarrely opposed reactions to Laura Ashley’s dresses (live ‘em) and interior decor (ack!
