You may decide you want a true nude shoe, or you may decide that you will go with something that works as a nude (i.e. an animal print, a yellow, a blush, a light taupe). You may discover (as I have) that in a lighter colour, your shorter legs can tolerate a higher vamp. Or you may find (because you have dark hair) that lighter coloured shoe isn't the best, given the outfits you're planning. I'd go with an open mind and see what results. The pair I love most is a low heeled sandal in blush but I also have these (and they are Nine West, too). Very comfortable and the tint is so pretty. Nude does not just have to be a pale beige color---maybe a "natural" colored leather would suit you more so I would suggest browsing the shoe dept to get a broader look at what constitutes a nude. This is my favorite style of "nude" shoe, I wear them with tapered cropped jeans, skinnies, skirts and dresses. My pumps feel really dressy, I tend to only wear them when I'm really dressed up, and that simply doesn't happen that often. A low contrast neutral like gold, silver, taupe, beige or gray can work as a nude. Don't limit yourself to just pumps labeled "nude."
