Thanks Echo. I agree with you - the fuller peplum has its own charm. But here the waist isn't fitting anymore, it's atleast a couple of inches lose.

I know many people prefer a fuller peplum, but I prefer it A-line style. I have slim hips and the fuller style of the grey top just makes me look and feel bigger without a belt. I intend to get it fitted at the waist and then pair it with tube skirts and skinny pants. Let's see how that works!

I must be blind because I really, really like the grey peplum top. It doesn't appear to be too big overall, as the shoulder fit looks good. It is just a fuller peplum, which I prefer as opposed to a slimmer one. It is the difference between an A line dress and a fit and flare dress - both are great looks and both have their place. Unless the waist fit of the grey peplum is too large, I don't see anything to "fix".

Thanks Rachylou. I love that top too...I'll take it to the tailor today and see if he can fix the extra-volume problem. I don't want to let it go. It's a great fabric too....very comfortable. And reigning it in with the belt works with fitted skirts and pants.

I'm in love with peplum tops. Maybe you can get the grey one taken in a bit? It's a great top and I think the overall look is fan-tastic.

Thanks Angie! The polka dot peplum is my favourite top ever. I'm scared to wear it too often as I know I'll never find a replacement :D

The other one has way too much volume as of now. I'm going to take Diane's advice and take it to the tailor tomorrow.

Thank you for your input. Really appreciate it!

You look amazing in a peplum. No wonder you love them. They love you right back. The polka dot is a better fit for sure.

I know Diane. It's got TOO MUCH volume when not reigned in. I'll take it to the tailor tomorrow and see what can be done.

Probably. I mean obviously without seeing it in person, I can't tell precisely, but maybe just a bit taken it through the waistline only?

But the first full peplum has to be fixed. Think tailoring it will help?

Thanks Diane. I finally came up with a new combination. I didn't love either of these looks too much. Though I do like the polka dot peplum with black pants look for a nice evening out.

Well, I think both could work. I do see what you mean about the fullness of the first peplum, but you have arranged the pleats nicely and I like the scarf. Could you have it tailored a little? The spotty peplum looks good and I don't see that you should need to wear a blazer necessarily as it looks smart as is.

I have a late afternoon meeting today and I'm trying to figure out what to wear. One of the biggest drawbacks of working from home is that you kind of feel stuffy everytime you put on formals for a meetings. Since client meetings are rather rare in my life, I decided to bring out peplums, which I absolutely love.

The grey peplum top has gotten rather loose; I haven't worn it in over a year and am finding it hard to reign in all that fabric. I've belted it and I'm hoping it works, though all those pleats forming under my belt are making this look too swishy and flouncy for me.

Im wondering if I'll be better off wearing the other polka dot peplum top with pants. Maybe I'll add a blazer too.

I really should wear these tops on and off to keep an eye on the fit. I hate it when I find out only at the last minute that something doesn't fit beautifully anymore! Back to playing in my closet....

Thanks for looking.
