LisaP, In the stock photo, they don't even tie the "ties" -- they just leave them loose. I can do that, too -- but they hang a bit long on me (I think) proportionately. Still, I'll experiment with that as well, maybe if I'm wearing a platform to give me a bit more height. I think you could also tuck them under inside the top, but I imagine you'd have to pin or fashion tape them to stay put. Still, it's possible to be a bit creative with them.

Thanks, Lisa, Sister Blue!

Sal, thanks -- and yes -- I love it when responses are varied because it shows the taste of the viewer yet suggests that none of the ways is really bad. I think I prefer it with the pants so far, too - but I might find a way to style it better with the skirts with some experimentation.

Thanks, Cookie! Maybe I can have some thrifting success for more brooches?

Angie, thanks! I'll take K to the power of K any day!

JAileen, yes, I do like the textural difference between that skirt and the top and the skirt also looks great with the brooch.

Carla, thanks! I think it will be versatile, too, and it is cool and lightweight and breezy. So a good find, I hope.

Jenni, thank you! I hear you the the dark - -and it is a dark navy too. (I actually suit a brighter navy better -- but it's hard to find.) I think in person it's less somber, though and when you can see how lightweight the fabric is, you don't feel so weighed down by dark. I hope!

Ha! I have been eyeballing this top all spring but wasn’t quite sure what the ties were or if they were even ties at all . I came pretty close to ordering . I love BR’s weird tops - so different and interesting . The MD pants are very cool but unfortunately impossible to suss out the details on my screen .

Fun new top! And yes, a navy is a must have for us team blue gals. :)

I like all the ways you've styled it here, the new wardrobe addition is super versatile, pairing equally well with jeans, pants, and skirts. Nice find!

Love the top! I especially like it with the pants options - funny how we are all different. This will be a workhorse - an elevated one - the best kind.

Love, love, love! So versatile and makes you glow. 4-5 are my faves but I love it with the skirts, love it with the jeans, love it all. The brooch idea is genius.

KILLER GORGEOUS navy top! Love! (This was a winner with clients too).

#4 and #5 are KILLER to the Power of KILLER. Super fun and playful with the brooch!!! Elegantly Avant-Garde.

Next faves are #11 and #10! Loving #1 with the white bottoms too! And the patterned bottoms work well!

Brilliant new top :)

Oh Suz! Gorgeous especially with the skirts. My favourite combo is in pic 8. Also love it with the contrast of the white pants. The all-navy outfits feel too dark to me? Even with the contrast of your hair? Silver sandals are great with this.

Unaccountably, I had no solid navy summer tops in my closet, and a solid navy top is an essential for my style. So I went out and bought a distinctly statement-like essential, LOL. BR on sale.

It's a cotton poplin boatneck top with an asymmetrical hem and...ties? I have figured out a few different ways to secure it and can probably work out more. I worried that it might be a bit fiddly, but the fabric stays tied quite well.

Showing it first with white pants because the contrast shows the shape (and I would probably wear with white bottoms sometimes.) (1-3)

Then with a fun pair of Massimo Dutti pants about which I will have more to say eventually -- I am loving these pants. They're almost a perfect match for the top, so it's like a co-ord set. Of course they are longer on me than on the model, but so far I am liking the ankle bone length. I tried this version with a sparkly brooch. (4-5)

Then with my Dries pants and another brooch. (6-7)

Then with my old J. Crew skirt (8)

Then with the new Massimo Dutti skirt (9-10)

Then with jeans as in the stock photo!

This is not a keep / return because I have cut the tags. But I thought it is an interesting enough piece that others might want to see it -- it comes in different colours.
