Not sure about the dates just yet, anywhere from mid Sept to mid Oct. Depends entirely on prices as I have nothing else on my agenda but to be a tourist at my own leisure! (Well, me and my dd whose either going to be there already, or coming with me to live there for a year or so)

I'm leaning towards late September so I don't miss any of the sights because I hear some of them close for the winter. I run cold too, so I'll happily switch the flats for something little more substantial if I need to, and I'm looking now for a end of season sale on a fabulous winter coat so I can look great in all my pictures! LOL

The picture is currently hidden, but I looked at it earlier, and you're off to a great start Kim (and yay, a trip to London!-)

You mention you are travelling in the Fall, but is it early Fall (September) or late Fall (end of October-November)? I'm asking because it you are going later in the year, I would personally switch out the flats for more closed footwear (like an oxford or shootie). If the trench is unlined, I would also consider replacing it with a thicker coat, of course, I'm always cold, so your mileage may vary.

I also have no suggestions, but will be very interested in how it goes. I'm a bit of a travel wardrobe junkie!! You certainly have enough outfits for 10 days, remember most people will not see you for more than the one day

Everything looks great. I am humbled to have inspired you. I do have the BR gemma wrap dress in two colors. I hope you get it. It fits great and drapes fantastically well.

A black coat or trench is not a drag. My daughter traveled with one and all of her pictures look great.

Oh, wow - so inspiring, Kim! You know I'm off to London in March, right? I'll have to figure Polyvore out so I can so something similar!

I love this. It looks fantastic. I agree with Mary that you might need a few more tops. Stripes are great when travelling, I found, to give you that feeling of "pattern" yet still allowing a pattern mix with a scarf. I think at least one of the tops should be another sweater, preferably merino, in case of cool weather. Are you okay with denim on denim? If so, no problem with the denim shirt, but if you don't like that look it might be more vesatile to sub a different button down.

A yellow trench sounds fun, but on the other hand, it's going to be autumn....you might prefer black then, as you say. (Though the pop of colour is fabulous, and I loved what Zapotee said!)

BTW, you can get the black wrap dress from Banana Republic at 30% off today - see Ingunn's thread. http://bananarepublic.gapcanad.....=423344003

A couple of thoughts on this:

* You're right to include some dressier outfits, I find London to be one of the dressiest cities on the planet.
* If you're buying a new coat, go for a colored one, or even a non-black neutral - it will look so much better in photographs. I have an olive trench coat that I love and get tons of compliments on.
* I myself tend to anticipate my international trips and overplan my wardrobe. Then I get there and find...I'm dressed wrong for the country anyway. Would you have any budget/time for a spot of shopping while you're there? I love buying clothes overseas. Then again, I live in NZ!

Olive pants are on my "keep an eye out for list" already. You're right, they would work well too!

way early I know! LOL Not one to do the last minute thing, but I'd like to kind of get it in my mind so that I can pick up the couple of pieces I need over the spring/summer. I have everything but the black wrap dress, the yellow trench, orange cardigan, and taupe booties.

Can you see the mix and match possibilities with me? I hope to be there for 10 days (including travel.) I'll be doing a *lot* of sight seeing so flats and mid heels are a must. Zapotees idea that our coats are what most of our pictures are in has inspired me to pick up one fab coat this spring with that fall trip in mind. I kinds want to go black on that, but yellow seems so much more fun!

Do you think it mostly works together? Any suggestions? I'll take any help I can get from you fab ladies!
