I like more things from that collection but have to keep an eye on overbuying.

Fabulous new items! I love those COS pleated trousers, and your oversized trench from Uniqlo looks absolutely gorgeous! Was it from the Uniqlo U line, or a different collaboration?

I love your orange accents too! I have eyed that Maison Kitsune tote myself :). So cute and fun for spring and summer.

I have bought a few things for spring/summer, but don't really have a specific plan to speak of, lol, which is pretty standard for me!

I do want to buy some loose-fitting, droopy shorts (maybe some cargo or utility shorts, in olive green or denim), so we'll see how that goes.

I’m currently doing some ‘spring’ shopping and capsule planning in a very rushed way because I suddenly realized I didn’t have what I deem to be appropriate clothes for my upcoming trip to Paris! Although I recognize it won’t be Paris spring there (forecasted temps from 0-10 C roughly) it also won’t be Canadian winter! This transitional bit that is too warm for lined winter boots, but too cool and potentially rainy for bare ankles, is always a challenge for me. I realized I have eg. a lot of trendy statement pants but none of the basic dark blue straight jeans I feel are right for a European city! Rush ordered a couple of pairs of gap pants in a fit and size I knew should work and looking to buy some unlined slim midcalf boots locally this weekend, to hopefully form the basis of a capsule along with stuff i already own. Phew! Thanks for providing a place to put my anxiety

Glad you posted the orange!
It's felt like early spring here much of the winter. Not complaining My sandal booties have become MVPs, but I want some in cognac too. Having these 3 light colored tops is my cool spring strategy this year.

I like the pop of orange to your wardrobe as well as the classic choices!

Spring tends to be quite rainy and chilly here and I have started to look at my items with that on mind, the picture for the Spring palette has been chosen a while ago and I've started my visual board to guide me for the Spring purchases and clear out (baggy jeans have been replaced and some footwear that no longer fit my lifestyle are also gone).

For Spring, I'd like to add a leather jacket and a beige chino and will be on the lookout for Summer pieces too during the sales.

Unfortunately, it is not designed for large busts, no darts, but a friend owns it and it looks very sleek on her.

It is over 50 C and sunny today, so I broke out a cotton cardigan and hot pink jeans and walked to the store without a coat. False spring, but I'll take it!

I am eyeballing these two tops, but living in Chicago, I will wait until May to decide. The Cos top comes in a fabulous dark green.

Spring shopping is my BEST and FAVE! I have to make a special effort to control myself because I want it all. I COME ALIVE WHEN I SHOP FOR SPRING! I'm replacing worn jeans, worn knitwear, worn dresses, and adding pants and tops. Getting lots on sale. I shop for Summer at the same time, so it's easy.

Yes its been a strange winter here as well, haven't really worn my heavier puffer coat as much this year.
You have a nice restrained colour palette and I think those pops of orange will be a fun addition.
I've added a few baby blue items for the spring season like my new loafers, so we will have to see what the next few months do weather-wise.

All your new stuff looks great Irina and just like you! Should fit your aesthetic seamlessly.
We are going into Autumn of course but I actually divide my wardrobe into either “Summer” or “Autumn/Winter/Spring” because we have a lot of transitional times and not that much very cold winter in my part of our country (no snow). So I don’t change out Autumn and Spring all that much in reality.

We don't really get Spring here - it just starts warming up until it becomes unbearably hot & humid again (aka Summer), lol

That said, the hotter months can be rainy, so transitional outerwear is a must. I think I'm already covered with my lightweight hooded raincoat & poncho, but I have spied some deliciously saffron yellow thin knitwear at COS! Am very tempted, but do I really need such wool items in subtropical humidity?

February is the coldest month, and March the snowiest. April is cold and rainy, though DH reminds me that the golf course has opened as early as April 15th! That said, my warmest puffer felt too warm the past two days, and when I went out a second time today, I opted for a less warm cloth coat, and was fine.

I’m a fan of a lightweight puffer under a trench coat or a rain jacket. I’ll even layer two light weight puffers! As temps improve, I put the beanies at the back of the closet and wear berets more.

I’m considering green and light blue for S/S. Navy and black have equal prominence (at 20 items each) so my plan is to default to white, cream or tan if I can’t find items in the colours I want.

I love your new items. The pants from COS look amazing. And the neutrals will really pop with the orange. I like the way you show us that just a few well-chosen accessories can switch up the look between seasons and give one the sense of freshness and newness that we all seem to crave. Those orange shoes are so cool! As are the scarf and bag!

Spring is (typically) a longer and more temperate season here in the PNW. But it has not started yet. We had a big dump of snow yesterday. And it's bitter cold. Having come from Ontario, I'm still adapting to this and learning how to dress for it. As the temperatures warm up, I retire my boots in favour of sneakers. I start wearing more shirts and cotton knits and put away the cashmere. I stop wearing the puffers and pull out the raincoats.

My colours pretty much never change.

Lisa, LOL
I’m extremely careful with pleated pants style. It works only if 1. Pants are wide and slouchy, 2. Fabric is soft and drapey. I’m between sizes now and went with a bigger size.
The scarf is from the winter collaboration between Marni and Uniqlo. Funny, it had some orange things but I bought only two scarves and some socks. The rest was too maximal for me, as often a case with Marni aesthetic.

Forgot to add that white sneakers are Acne Studios.

I love those COS pants - so chic . I’ve been eyeing them myself but can’t wear pleats , which seem to be on every pant around these days . Also love that Marni ( ?) scarf !

I’m excited to wear my new-to-me COS collarless mackintosh type coat which I bought in late fall . It’s sort of a shorter , modified swing cut and I LOVE it . I’m interested in navy again - haven’t looked at it in a few years . Not sure how it will translate to clothing purchases quite yet - maybe footwear if I can find something .

Spring is hard here too - same reasons . I’m still bracing for our usual March storm that dumps a pile of snow that seems to take forever to melt . I’m so DONE with winter and winter clothes !!

I’m wearing sneakers a lot too, Irina. Our winter has been so mild that my boots didn’t get much of a workout. Your spring color story is similar to mine, minus the black.

Spring is difficult, and I’m usually not inspired to buy much, mainly because we seem to lurch from mild winter to full-on summer. I did buy more this year than I normally do, because we were in NYC recently and I stopped by Uniqlo. Along with green cargos, and drapey wide-legged window-pane striped navy pants, I bought a white short-sleeved rayon blouse, chartreuse long-sleeved cotton blend sweater, and a bright orange thigh length raincoat in Uniqlo’s Block Tech fabric, which I’ve never tried before. The color definitely sucked me in to make that purchase. In my defense, I didn’t have a raincoat. The cargos are great; they have had a number of wears already. I think the rayon blouse and the sweater will be work horses. Uniqlo’s rayon has a lovely hand and launders beautifully. We’ll see about how well the navy pants & raincoat perform in my wardrobe.

Sloper, as you wish :)
The first picture is an inspiration for the spring colors.

A t-shirt from COS is an under layer , too bright and fitted to wear on its own. I also have a pair of pants in orange but they are for the summer. Shoes, too will be probably for summer/late spring.
Unfortunately, orange is too bright to wear close to my face but I’m open to it. Going to order small orange glass earrings, too.

Sorry, hard to make the color appear true.

I like the puffer. The diamond stitching elevates it from other puffer vests I have seen. Makes me think of a "waistcoat".
Will be fun to see how you style these new items.

I also find spring hard - mostly because the weather is erratic and gauging the temperature is hard.

I find blazers and jackets well worn, and mostly sneakers as I move out of boots. I also can be tired of scarves by spring and want open necklines.

I like your collection and can see this mixing in with your existing closet seamlessly.

Transition seasons are always a challenge for me. I so often pick clothes that makes me feel too cold or too hot. Springs are short here and sometimes it feels like I’m jumping from a puffer into a t-shirt.
So, not inspired.

My footwear choices are also not exciting. This winter is mild and I’m wearing mostly my sneakers that I should’ve packed away at the end of November. My injured ankle also prevented me from wearing some of my boots. So, I wore from November to now my black suede Rag & Bone, beige New Balance 530 sneakers and occasionally Chelsea boots. Needed my winter Converse only a handful of times.

Although I’m tired of these sneakers, I will continue wearing them and will add my old oxfords once it warms up.

I’m trying to solve a problem of being cold in thin jackets in the mornings and added a puffer vest. It’s OK on its own, not terribly exciting but easily packed in a bag if it feels warmer, also versatile or so I hope.

Another addition is an oversized trench. I do have a classic trench but it’s not roomy enough for extra layers. This one allows me to wear a vest or a sweatshirt underneath. Both items came from Uniqlo.

I bought another pair of thin wool dress pants (COS). Now I have 3 pairs of woven pants for transitional seasons. The rest is denim and I think that’s plenty.

Also, replaced old white sneakers that don’t fit anymore, the new pair might be more summery but it will do for now.
I also bought a few things for my orange collection. But it’s a different topic. I think of adding some of them to my some of the spring outfits but should try it first. My spring color story is navy, olive and black with accents in white and possibly orange.

Hope you, too will share your plans for spring like some of us.

All comments are welcome.
