I'm a numbers gal so spreadsheets help me to stay organized. I also like visuals, so I'll keep the photos from this post for the season to refer back to as needed. I also like taking WIW photos for the same reason, so I can refer back to a favorite outfit the next season. I have a large walk in closet so I do not need to pack away items, per se. However I do rotate around the closet. I'm calling this capsule "Zella Pumpkin Spice" because I'm on team pumpkin everything come fall and many of the pieces in this capsule are by Zella.</p> <p>The focus for this capsule was WFH days and lounge at home days with a color palette that screams fall, especially all things pumpkin, and days that start cool, and turn warm, then back to cool at night (60-80F).</p> <p>I'll plan to wear other capsules during the fall, but I find preplanning outfits helpful for those days when I don't want, or don't have time, to think about creating an outfit.</p> <p><b>#1 - Life is Good Tees with Fall Graphics</b><br />DH had kindly gifted me these Life is Good tees a few months ago for my birthday and then I picked up a few on my own so that was my starting point for this capsule wardrobe. One tee is an old one from Amazon. All are in the finds below.</p> <p><b>#2&nbsp; - Paige Wide Legs, Zella Pants, and Others</b><br />I reached for my newest bottoms next. </p> <ul> <li>Paige Brooklyn High Waist Crop Wide Leg Jeans in Vintage Brunette <a rel="nofollow" href="https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/keep-or-return-barrel-jeans-vs-wide-leg-crop-long">from this post (thanks to everyone who voted)</a></li> <li>The cropped rust pants are by Nicole Miller from a few years ago</li> <li>Zella Lift Off High Waist Ankle Pants in Rust Redwood I purchased during NAS specifically for this capsule. I don't think I've ever owned orange pants before but figured it would be fun to try out a brighter color this fall</li> <li>The linen chestnut joggers are from TJMaxx (Cynthia Rowley)</li> </ul> <p><b>#3 - More Zella Pants, and Others</b></p> <ul> <li>I purchased two additional Zella pants during NAS in the Grey Moonbeam color specifically for this capsule. I duplicated the Grey Moonbeam because light colors are a wardrobe bottleneck for me and even now, one pair is in the wash. The one shown here is the Zella Live in Joggers, but I also have the Grey Moonbeam in the </p> <p>Lift Off High Waist Ankle Pants (not shown because it's in the wash)</p> </li> <li>The Zella All Day Everyday Joggers in Tan Thread are a lighter weight jogger than the Live in Joggers or the Lift Off High Waist Ankle Pants and work really well on hot days when I don't want to wear shorts</li> <li>The green and black Zella Live in Joggers are from a few years ago</li> </ul> <p><b>#4 - Vintage Brunette and Rust Pants</b><br />The Paige&nbsp;Brooklyn High Waist Crop Wide Leg Jeans in Vintage Brunette and the Rust Cropped Pants look like they will be super versatile in this capsule wardrobe. A lot of the tees pair with them easily. </p> <p><b>#5 - Rust Redwood and Chestnut Pants</b><br />The Zella Lift Off High Waist Pants and the Chestnut Linen Pants also work with lots of the tees.</p> <p><b>#6 - Grey Moonbeam and Tan Thread Pants</b><br />Once again this capsule has colors that work really well with each other.</p> <p><b>#7 - Late Entrants</b><br />The Green and Black Zella Live in Joggers I started with in the capsule (see photo #3) didn't pair well so I swapped them for a few late entrants. The colors aren't photographing well with today's poor lighting but both pairs of Zella here are the All Day Everyday Joggers (same pants as in photo #3 color Tan Thread). The colors here are Grey Thunder and a rosey color (cinnamon? Zella calls it Red Jelly) that you can see better <a rel="nofollow" href="https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/wiw---no-prob-llama">in this post</a>.&nbsp;</p> <p><b>#8 - Footwear</b><br />My main focus for this capsule was figuring out what tees to pair with bottoms, but here are the sneakers I plan to wear with everything. The Eccos are from NAS last year. The Me Too's are a recent purchase. i was skeptical about the almond toe shape but they fit my feet fine (I usually look for round toes because of bunions on my feet). In the stock photo you can see the metallic thread which makes the tan color less plain looking. These slip on sneakers have an impressive amount of cushioning inside</p> <p><b>#9 - Ivory Toppers</b> </p> <ul> <li>Again my NAS purchases appear in this capsule. The Zella Cloud Fleece Sweatshirt in Ivory Egret will be perfect for days when I need a little extra warmth in the mornings and evenings</li> <li>The Zella Kickback Ottoman Tunic in Ivory Egret is perfect for days when it's cool but not cold enough for a fleece topper</li> </ul> <p>I'm excited to start using this capsule now that fall is here (okay maybe today's not the first day of fall officially but I saw Pumpkin Spice at Starbucks recently so that's good enough for me). </p> <p>Thanks for looking!</p> <p>PS.
