I have not had a problem with chiffon fabrics and have been sewing with them for years.....if it is a silk yes snagging can be a problem...Rayon works and a rayon poly blend for me anyway. I do not wear snagging type of jewelry when wearing chiffon, maybe that is the problem.

Chiffon plaid is cute . Looks cute on too....but I won't buy any of it that we have at my workplace. The fabric is too fragile - too easily snagged ,which unfortunately I've learned the hard way. The tops at my store run from $40-90 and even with a employee discount of 40-50% off it's still a high cost-per-wear for one to three wears.

I saw a chiffon plaid open jacket/cover with lace on the wide sleeve hemline over white tank and jeans coupled with cowboy boots at Cowboy Country the other night! Really cute way to wear the plaid and something different. Plaid in chiffon fabric and mixing the print with lace was so wrong yet so right!
