If the 0 fits better up top but the 2 is a better length, why not check out the seam allowance on the hem of the 0? It might not be a simple alteration, but it could end in a blazer that’s exactly right for you.

I vote 0. I looked long and hard, and diff are subtle, BUT I see it clearly on the bust. Why "drawning" in so much fabric:-) when size 0 fits like a glove still looking perfect for oversize look! (Nordstrom was great, too- as only 1 button is always looking great on a girl!:-)).

Decisions, decisions!
Don’t have solution because I often waffle sizes in the same top— more fitted for skirts or tucking, more roomy for pants .

The different fits give different vibes. I do like the more conventionally flattering fit of the 0 in the photo. That makes it look somewhat easier to wear and also with lighter T’s. The 2 does look more like outerwear, which you said might be your thing,
With the size 0 in hand, try it buttoned and with different tops & having BF take some video of it in motion, where pulling and such would show up. I know you can’t compare side- by - side now, but see if it looks good to you and feels good or if you will pine for the size 2.

I’ll keep the 0 for now and keep the tags on and see if a 2 pops back in stock, I guess. In the end I might settle for the 0.

The 2. I’m so glad you put them side by side because the differences are subtle. You can probably see and feel the difference better in person.
I think there is a little extra length on the 2, right? I think the shoulders are a little wider and the sleeves seem a little roomier.
So, the 0 looks like it fits better, but the 2 looks slightly more in-style.

Greyscale - I ordered this too. There is a little defect in the plaid by the shoulder seam. I took my usual size 4 and it fits like the 2 fits you. I really like it but I’m waiting on restock. I think Nov 9 is estimated. So I can try a size 2 against a hopefully perfect 4. I love it on you. It’s very roomy. As much as I love oversized I like the 0 on you. But you know I love both.

I prefer the size 0, which is odd for me since I tend to prefer everything oversized! But it's likely I'm being influenced by the styling in the first set of pics with the size 0 (with the boots, which I prefer to the flats in the second set with the size 2) and my poison eye for rolled sleeves on blazers.

I went back to the store to buy the 0, and I noticed that some taller, more angular women were intentionally sizing up. My boyfriend actually thought it looks better a size bigger, so that it’s very clearly oversized. So here’s the 2 (my usual size).

I waffled for literally an hour and came home with the 0. Tags are still on and I’m still debating between the sizes (or neither). Though, it might be sold out in a 2 now.

These photos show the 2. I’ll take another photo of the 0 today for comparison.

Incidentally my camera roll is full of photos but I couldn’t tell which size was which until I hit on the idea of using my fingers to show the size!

Greyscale - if you haven’t tried her jackets, you should try Rebecca Minkoff. Longer boyfriend styles, nice fabric but much more shaped through the body. I have two.

Gryffin, I remember that you bought this when it came out, and I was hoping you'd chime in.

I do see the concern many of you have about the size. It's right on the edge for me - part of me really loves it, part of me isn't sure. I suspect shortening the arms would make it look more intentional.

One interesting thing about this cut - it's actually bowed out slightly, not a straight rectangle. I think that's how it accommodates a larger chest without ruining the boxy effect. But, like many boxy fits, I think it looks best either on tall stick figures (coat-hanger-like effect, where it hangs and doesn't add bulk) or fuller figures. eg, Everlane's square cut oxford shirt looks fantastic on larger sizes and strangely in-between on me.

I think I'll stop by the store again today (conveniently -- or dangerously -- up the street from me) and try it with skinny jeans and a fitted tee. I do have broad shoulders so I doubt I can size down, but I tried the 00 over a top with bulky sleeves, so it's worth trying again.

Jesskams - your point about "EVERYBODY is wearing this" is another concern. Not because I worry about following trends (I'm happy to, when the trend matches my style) but because I worry it'll look dated very quickly. And because, like you say, it might not represent my style as well. (I'll ask my boyfriend!)

This photo was my original inspiration for my glen plaid quest, but I doubt that I could pull off this full look in my style and my setting:
https://www.thecut.com/2017/11.....dress.html

For what it’s worth, I think the fit is perfect for an oversized blazer, so I’m with gryffin on this one. This blazer definitely doesn’t have that “officey” vibe that I get with the Nordstrom version. The Everlane reminds me of the oversized, Armani-inspired jackets we loved back in the 80s before the tight-fitting, shrunken look swept the fashion world. Check out Diane Keaton in Baby Boom to see the look in action.

I suspect, if the model in the picture asked the forum to judge the fit from the back, there would be a chorus of “drowning in fabric” comments here. The oversized look in jackets, much like high-rise pants, requires some adjustment but I’ve always been a fan of the style. It looks so elegant to see fabric drape on the body instead of stretch on it.

I’m no good at fit, but I like it, juxtaposed against your tough items.
