It's worth bringing them to a jeweler, because real pearls need exposure to moisture, and should be worn. This is just a start since I have a lot of jewelry -- statement necklaces, strands of beads, pieces inherited, etc. But I thought I'd snap some photos as I just threw various things on. Some are more successful, some definitely less so, but I thought I'd post them for fun. I won't say which are my favorite until I hear from you all. Do any of these combinations work to your eye? Just playing a bit. It was kind of fun and made me reevaluate some other neglected pieces in my jewelry collection. I'm seeing more options in layering than in some pieces when simply worn alone. </p> <p>PS The last photo is a pearl necklace gift from my husband I almost forgot about! A very long strand of pearls knotted on a fine cord. It's delicate, so I don't think layering with other pieces is the way to go, but I'm enjoying the look of delicate jewelry these days, so I'll have to make an effort to wear this piece more.</p> <p>Thoughts, impressions? </p>
