To me, they still seem like a fairly narrow opening, though, so not necessarily flower-pot and worth a try. I have worn 37s and 38s in Pikolinos in the past, and these were good in the 37. I'm a true euro 38 most of the time but sometimes get 38.5 in boots to accommodate socks etc. but my feet are very low volume so this can make them too baggy in the instep or too big in the ankle. So it really depends on whether they run small in length or width. I def need the length but maybe not the width unless they are narrow at the bunion area. </p> <p>I always wear a 39 in Naots though... But I think their sizing is unique.</p> <p>ETA: thanks, Beth! I'm also a 38 so it sounds like I might not need to size up. 2.5" heel is right at my upper limit so it depends on how well balanced the rest of the sole is (my prob is ball of foot pain more than anything else).
