I loved today's poster and all the possibilities so much. Have you donned your LBD today, too?<br /><br />------<br />I'm not going to pretend that I didn't anticipate this picture perfect challenge in particular. An iconic poster, ditto LBD. This is right up my alley, right? But then again, my life is very remote from Holly Goligthly's, and there's also half a century between us. Her iconic style would simply not work for everyday wear in my life. Still, I had to try, even if it only were for a little while.&nbsp;<br /><br />#1: My LBD (Boss), trench (BR) and pumps (Clarks), and Grandma's pearls. I've never missed diamonds more than today. My very own&nbsp;<i>Cat</i>&nbsp;joined in, but he is at least twice as big as the original Cat, so there's no way he can sit on my shoulder! Oh, and red lipstick and fingernails, too. My very own Mr. Varjak has left for Italy today - so no kisses, unfortunately. If he were here, he would have loved this outfit.<br /><br />#2-1: This is what I would have worn if I'd given lessons today. The LBD paired with the apple green blazer, blue scarf and orange wedges (plus red nails) picks up the colors in the poster very nicely. I'll save this for use in the near future.<br /><br />#2-2: In my real life today I'm working from home. I think my daughters would find it peculiar if I dress up too much for that, and I also prefer a less structured/more casual outfit when I sit by my desk all day. Thus the LBD is layered with a striped blue/white tee, but the orange wedges can stay on, so I can break them in some more.&nbsp;<br /><br /><span>Conclusion: An LBD is really worthy of&nbsp;the iconic status, and among the most versatile garments there is, in my opinion. Thank you, Ornella, for letting me get to play with it this week, too.<br /></span><br />How often do you wear yours? I think wear mine 2-3 times a month, and if I stay in shape, I can use this dress for many years. The CPW whittles down to nothing. Nice, no?
