I had a stay-at-home day with a lot of cleaning and crafting followed by friends over for MNF, so a very casual outfit was in order. I took inspiration from the horizontal/vertical lines created by the trees and the road, and used that as the base of my outfit though I flipped the coloring vertically. I see a lot of stripes, esp.&nbsp;the tube skirts, and I do have one, too-just wanted to put on a different look, with&nbsp;my 3 yrs.&nbsp;old striped jacked instead. I was inspired with the monochrome dressing and the way the Beatles dressed down their suits with open collars, unconventional cuts and color (e.g., an all- denim ensemble instead of a suit), and casual footwear. <br />I would have worn a black pantsuit if I'd had one. Instead I opted for a long skirt to echo the long, lean looks in the album photo; a black pullover for the monochrome effect, cowboy boots to dress down the long skirt. What struck me most was: the relaxed menswear all in neutrals, all of the linear elements in the pic, and the almost sepia tinted feel to the colours thanks to the film used.</p> <p>Sadly, it was too hot here for a jacket, and I don't own any flares, so for menswear I went with pleated trousers. I added a striped top (for the linear bit)&nbsp;with a sepia colour background, semitucked for a bit of interest, and kept everything else streamlined a la their suits. I can already tell this is going to be a bit of a challenge for me! I woke up really early on my first unemployed day to take the kids to school and I grabbed this very oversize and stretched and creased top.
