That "reach for" factor that Thistle used. Also, they are "the same" (though they look different) from a couple of items, including the Leith pants, in terms of the role they would play, or when I will or won't wear them , but the Leith's are actually easier to style, feel more comfortable. I think they're very flattering, and have doubts about a size up. #2 is the perfect top for them IMO. Straight across hem, reaches your hips. Thanks to our similar wide hips/slim legs build my eye goes straight to the outer thigh (bet yours does, too) and sees a little strain, but it may be that only we pretty pears would notice. For me a larger size often has too much volume in my thighs, so I wear this fit as long as the pants don't feel too tight.
