Michelle I'm late chiming in, but had to add another voice saying how lovely that dress is. You look fantastic in that entire outfit and can easily dress it up and down I think!!

It was such fun having your help, Angie!! And I should add that everyone else was equally marvellous with their suggestions and feedback!
Yep, I'm sizing up on the trench. Nordy's will deal with it and deliver it to the guide dog school to avoid the complicated shipping hassles associated with the last delivery. It may be hard to get pics while I'm in NJ, but I'll try.

(Great! I’ll have a squizz on fb, Michelle).

Can you get a size up on the trench? If you phone Nordies, I’m sure they’ll help you out. It’s worth it.

Cathy is right! Try the moto jacket over the dress. (It was SUCH FUN shopping the NAS with you). Wooohoo!

Michelle, you look incredible in all of your new items. I love the outfit you modeled (incredible moto jacket!) and I'm so glad you ended up with that dress. I tried it too, but the proportions and fit didn't quite work on me, and the next best thing is seeing someone else look fantastic in it!

Ok, I just gotta echo everyone: everything is KILLER on you Michelle! Great NAS purchases, and they seem to be really versatile pieces.

I'm also having a hard time seeing the fit of the trench, maybe because it is dark.

Please try on your dress with the moto jacket, boots, and purse -- we'll let you know if it is too much. Sounds like a fun look, though!

Angie: The party was lots of fun. I got tagged in some pics on Facebook; check them out!
I'll try to get another pic taken with the trench, maybe while wearing light-coloured pants to show y'all what I mean. I just feel it's a touch too snug through the hips, apart from the riding up issue.
Shiny: Hmm, I kind of like the length of the dress. I love that I don't *have* to wear leggings with it, as it's still not a loook that I think will come into heavy rotation for me. I am totally loving all your styling suggestions, though, especially the grey hose and pumps!
No, don't have the boots yet; it's a work in progress, but I'm determined to get them. I've always wanted burgundy boots for some reason.

KILLER frock.

KILLER trench. ( I cannot see where it’s pulling from the picture and the fit looks fab on my screen. I also can’t see the length of the trench on the dress). Perhaps you can take another picture?

KILLER last outfit.

Proud moment for us both Michelle. You are fab :0)

Hmm. When worn open, it looks like the dress is still about 2 inches longer than the trench? I am thinking your instincts are right on the money, but it's the dress that needs to be shorter, not that the trench needs to be longer. Seems simple enough to have the dress hemmed?

I do not think it would be too much at all! But I might wear a different bag, when you wear the leather jacket and boots. To give it a pop. Your cream bag would work perfectly. The croco bag with trench is a great work look.

It's nice you can style this dress in many fun ways. If you take up the hem, you could even try leggings and your bronze flats with it....

Do you have the boots yet? I don't think I've seen them.

Shiny, my concern with the trench is that it hikes up at least an inch or two when I button it up. When I wear it open, it's perfectly at the knee, which is where I'm hoping to keep it. I don't really plan to wear the trench with the dress that often, but I did so in these pictures to demonstrate the length problem I'm experiencing a little more graphically.
I'm with you on the idea of wearing the moto jacket with the dress. Very excited to do this. Will I look like I'm doing too much, though, if I wear the jacket and long boots and carry the croco bag?

You absolutely need more sweet pea tops. That top is amazing on you.

The dress: love - what a great color on you! And burgandy boots will be quite scrumptious with this. A purple purse would be great too... purple is going to be popular this fall. I would also love to see the leather jacket over this dress - for a more casual look.

The trench: I think it fits you well, but try sizing up. My only worry is that the trench is shorter than the dress. I think Angie likes the hemlines to be the exact same. I recall she is a stickler about this. So, the question is, "Is the trench too short, or the dress too long?"

I can't tell from the photo, but I'm wondering if it's the dress that needs to be shortened? Can you hike it up at the waist, so the hem falls at the knee, and take another photo for us?

Michelle, you ROCK that dress!!! I don't remember if I had gotten around to commenting on your sweet pea+moto jacket outfit when you first posted it, but let me reiterate - looks awesome. I really like the trench on you too, but I'm with the others. If it seems like it will seem uncomfortably tight when you will layer when it gets cooler, you should probably size up. Great haul Michelle!

I think that it is up to your preference on wearing two animal pieces. I didn't notice the animal pattern on the shoes; is it very subtle? I usually prefer to wear one animal print per outfit, but on can certainly pull off two if they are in moderation.

Kristen, are you kidding me? People would have to wrestle forcefully and break out weapons to get me to give up that dress! Re. the flats and bag I'm wearing with the dress, are they too much animal action when worn together or can it work?

Thanks for the feedback, guys! Marianna, each and every one of these pieces was an Angie pick; more proof that the woman is always right when it comes to fashion!! Imagine being able to make such spot-on choices just from seeing a pic of someone?

My concern about the trench stems from the fact that it rides up in length so much once I button it. Does that come through in the pics? I also wonder about the effect of more layers. I don't wear very bulky items (the knit of the dress is a good representation of my ideal thickness), but I wonder if I'd feel more comfortable and look nicer with the extra room.

I think the trench is great too, and it doesn't look too small in the pictures. I think the belt looks fine, but you can also try tying a square knot if it's less fussy.

So sorry for the delays here, but at long last I have some of the pictures I've been promising you guys!

Cobalt dress and new Guess croco bag:
http://s709.photobucket.com/al.....tdress.jpg

I am 100% in love with this dress and will be very sad if you veto it. This may go down in history as the most comfortable garment in existence, too. I'm thinking of wearing it with long black or burgundy boots. I would also like your input on the bag and the dkny flats. I'm not planning to wear the flats as part of an outfit with this, I just put them on here for expediency.

Blackberry trench: Again, I just put it on over the dress to simplify matters, but also to demonstrate my fear that it's too small as is. I suspect you'll see what I mean when you see the coat worn closed:
Open:
http://s709.photobucket.com/al.....8;newest=1

Closed: :
http://s709.photobucket.com/al.....closed.jpg
P.S. am I fastening the belt properly?

And finally, a repost of an outfit using the sweet pea top and moto jacket:
http://s709.photobucket.com/al.....outfit.jpg

Take it away, ladies!
