I really like the moto jacket outfit, though, and the skirt and asymmetrical sweater (though now that gauche mentions it, I might try a smaller scarf with it). Like approprio, I prefer your long military coat over the puffer, though I think sometimes you just need a long puffer, right? And that one is very nice on you. Really, you seem to have a well honed style. I would say there's a minimal element to these looks, in that you wear a lot of solid neutrals; or perhaps quiet or understated is more accurate? There is also boldness, in your glasses, your use of scarves and asymmetry. There is a luxe or refined element, with rich looking fabrics that drape well and pieces that fit you well, an overall feeling of quality. I agree with Rachylou's description of "modern preppy," and I think if you wanted to add more edge to your look, you might consider adding some rougher elements like some moto boots or chunky belts or rugged jewelry. Or the cargo pants you said you're looking for--that's going in a little more edgy direction. You might take a look at <a href="http://www.itsnotthatdeep.com/" rel="nofollow">this blogger</a>, that Inge introduced here a while back. The other thing I'm struggling with (& it may just be me) is that I'm not sure about the high contrast on you - in #3 I do see the clothes before I see you. In #8 I see you & I love your hair in this photo. This could be for so many other reasons, it's so hard to tell these things from a static photo across all these internet miles.  What about making a note of how you feel in your outfits at the end of the day? I especially liked seeing you in the moto in #6 ... I guess that's one of the few cases where fashion indecision literally paid off! You have a trademark style already -- the knits, the scarves, the boots, the palette -- and have integrated the structured leather in a perfect way. (It fits great, doesn't overwhelm, and bookends the boots.) So that's a good road to explore further. To be my picky self, I'd only add that the plaid in #9 doesn't seem special enough, and the scarf in #11 kind of fights the asymmetric tunic. (Maybe, as approprio said, it's just that the cooler grays are better on you, especially near the face.) Anyway, all FWIW! Oh, and by the way, if you're on the fence about the puffer, I say keep it. Suz: Yes, we love to curl up with our kitties by the fire. That makes for the best kind of winter. I'm not a fan of the cold but I enjoy these moments. From what approprio, Caro, toronotogirl and others have mentioned regarding Kibbe -- this seems to be just as useful as body typing, but for me, it is even better than body typing. The moto is new. I brought it home three times and finally decided it was a keeper. It is my first moto and with all my indecision -- the price fell dramatically. Still looking at how to style. Glad to get a thumbs up on it. I want to explore more edge. I will definitely look harder at the silhouette of 10 -- yes, casual at home but there is something appealing about this for me too. 14 is totally me shopping in my closet an experimentation - glad this works. I guess it's not bad to live through winter if you can do it curled up in the warm all the time.  Third, I love your fun and practical coat collection.  It is hard to pick favourites here. For someone "just starting" on your journey, you seem to have some lovely pieces as well as a strong sense of your own style. I think Dramatic Classic fits you very well, FWIW, both in "Kibbe" terms and as an overall style descriptor.  I think my very favourites are: 6 (I love the moto ... even though it is a bit "tougher" than your overall persona based on these photos, it totally works as an iconic look). I also love 10, even though I know that was just a casual at-home look -- it is sleek on you and sophisticated. (And I might be biased because we are boot twins.) I'm hoping I can find a better alternative.  I also want to introduce Fro (our wonderful older cat), Gracie and Henry (our 6 month old Maine Coon kittens). My DH and I both work from home with our furry kids by our sides.
