Oh no! No one seems to like 31? That's alright. It's a bit of an experiment for me. I know that look isn't for everyone. It's very different looking, especially for me because I typically wear more classic looks. I still like it, and have the confidence to wear it. I'm thinking of using a denim blue dye and trying to make the material look a bit like a light blue chambray, or maybe as suggested above, by Neelie, teal. It's a linen mix. What do you think?

Can't go into great detail as I have a report to update, but couldn't just read and run!
I love the looks in :
#5 #11 #12 #15 #23

I don't like #31 at all, it looks to post-apocolyptic boho, but I suppose it would work with architectural. #32-33 don't look like they fit quite right, and seem very prone to wrinkling - I like the crisper looks better.

OH and I definitely love the scarf in #4!

I was thinking about some shade of blue, and I like the idea of varying the tones between the skirt and the vest. I have to look online at some tutorials on how to dye clothing before I try anything.

Is the Stella C dress two pieces? Could you dye the top and skirt complementary or tonal but different colors? Just a passing thought.
I think it's a very structurally interesting dress -- I'd avoid brown, yellow, orange and red (associations with very lovely Western Buddhist nuns and swamis). I think a saturated color in one of your cool tones (maybe a green or blue?) might be a good option if you want to go that route.

Just saw your comment about the Stella Carakasi -- yes, I liked the drape and interest of that outfit too. If you can successfully dye it (I don't know anything about dyeing), how about a more saturated colour? My only thought on that (more so than the colour) was that it looks like it might wrinkle easily. A more saturated tone might downplay that, like how linen looks less wrinkly in dark tones.

Can you come organise my Spring wardrobe, SF? Super impressed that you're so on top of this and your outfits just sing Spring to me. I love that you've opted for so many different silhouettes, like the Tibi dress in 29.

LOTS I love but I personally have a few flat-out, jaw dropper faves:
The jacket in #11 looks like it was custom tailored for you. FAB! And I like it with the neckline of the shirt you are wearing in that pic.
The pencil skirt: WOW on you! I really like it with the pink belted sweater, which I wasn't as excited about in the other looks.
The outfit in #29. Gorgeous drape, perfect on you!
The dress in #34

I agree with others on the crew neck sweaters--both cut and colours. I think the crew nicely emphasises your lovely shoulder line. I might consider adding a necklace or other accessory.

Like others, I think the floral shirts are perfectly OK, but not fab.

I'm also not sure about the J Crew jacket. It's OK, but not loving it as much as the WHBM blazer (though hard to tell in a photo). Maybe it's because (like the Tory Burch dress) it's a bit of a "straight up and down" look and doesn't showcase your waist.

I'm also lukewarm on the fit of the Athleta dresses: Love the colour and the way the skirts fit, but I don't think either of the top parts do you justice -- and it might be hard to find something to wear on top. Agree with others that the skirt on the second one might be a scoche too short.

It sounds like you've decided against the Tori Burch and Lafayette dresses, which I agree with. Although I like the details on the TB, I think I'd like it more if it were nipped at the waist to showcase your fab figure. Since it looks like it's a drop-waist, creating a waist wouldn't work. The colour and top of the Lafayette are amazing, but I'm not a fan of the shirt-tail look -- that's just a personal preference of mine though. I prefer a shirt dress that's straight across the bottom as it looks more intentional and less "I forgot to put on my trousers" if that makes sense?

I love how all your choices are so different from one another, and all speak so well to your style adjectives.

So far I'm returning the dresses in pics 20, 35, 32 and 33. If I use dresses 29 and 34 as my benchmarks I can't justify keeping the others. I know if I keep looking, I will find something better.

I'm returning both floral blouses, pics 17 and 18. I want something yellow, but maybe an even cooler shade, and the print, while pretty limits how I can use the blouse. I like the green color, but the mesh detail and flowers are not my favorite. I will keep looking for something this color as well. The appeal of a larger floral print hasn't evaporated. I found a silk camisole with a more uniform pattern that I hope will work out.

I'm returning the JCrew Regent Blazer. I like the color, but feel it's too long. I re-ordered it in a regular size instead of a tall size with the hope that it will still fit.

I'm keeping all the pants, the pencil skirt, the ballet sweater and crew sweaters. I'm keeping all the EF pieces.

I'm going to keep the Stella Carakasi skirt and vest. I'm happy with the style, just not the color. I know the color is drab. I'm thinking about some dye. Not sure what color to use yet. Any suggestions?

Oh, the Halogen vest is going back. I decided my shoulders are too narrow to pull it off properly. I'm hoping the EF vest works out. I like the idea of a vest.

Well done, you have made amazing progress.

I love the sheath dress in 34, the Tibi popover dress, the white pencil skirt, the white blazer, and you can wear all the trousers amazingly! I

The pink ballet cardigan is great with the pencil skirt.

I am not so sure on the floral shirts, in comparison to 1 3 9 15 16 they are less stylish to my mind. Or if one is already yours I think it is a fun pattern addition.

I may do the same with winter!

I'm going to return the dress in #35. I know that if I don't love it, I won't wear it often enough to justify its cost. It's Lafayette NY, so it's fairly pricey. I like the idea of a shirt dress, but maybe I can find something I like better. I like the color of this, the length is also good. The material is very nice. I would like a different collar. The fit isn't wonderful, and I'm not sure the shape is very flattering.

I'm glad I had the opportunity to see the silk dress on a real person. I thought you looked lovely, but I defer to your preference and support returning it.

I had no comment on the dress featured in number 35. Compared to your other picks, #35 was only so-so. Unless you love it, I wouldn't bother trying to save it by having it altered.

So far based on feedback and looking at the items again, I'm pretty sure I'm going to return the dress in pic 20.

I wonder if tailoring the dress in 35 would help. It feels a bit large to me. Maybe tapering the sides a small amount without altering the overall shape?

OMG. You bought the very pieces I loved and so admired. I don't even know how to write a reply in which I love so many pieces on you. The pink cardigan is wonderful. The red silk dress is gorgeous. I say keep, but I defer to how you feel in it.

I don't want to be negative, but it seems easier for me to list the pieces I don't love.

#3: Nice, but not as nice as so many of the other pieces.
#4: Scarf, swallows you.
#13 and 14: Just not a great as some of your other pieces.

Given the number of pieces you presented, not liking three is pretty amazing.

There are number of pieces that deserve special mention:

#1
#2
#7
#11
#23 though #26
#29 (favorite)
#32 (favorite)
#33 (favorite)
#34 (favorite)

You did an amazing job of developing a spring/summer wardrobe. All of the pieces are beyond gorgeous.

wow, i'm so impressed that you had the wherewithal to put all this together!

1st pass, my favs
#9 the shape, not so sure about the color, but the shape is fab
#11, this white blazer is a 10. great fit, and the white is a great color
#13, i like both the color and the fit. i like this longer length on you
#23 fab color and this is one of the crew necks that i think work
#34 this abstract floral dress is lovely.

i'm on the fence about these
#32 if this dress is for weekend casual wear, then maybe.
#20 i really really like this dress, but i'm on the fence about it on you….i think this is one where it needs to be seen IRL.
#12 the vest. not sure about this size, again i think this maybe one that needs to be seen IRL

i'd pass on these
#33 IMO this doesn't look like the best fit. the crew neck feels to high to me, and the leg to short.
#17 maybe its me, but i find the boxy stripy solid color outline at the neck distracting.

and as to your question about shortening blazers, generally not recommended, to do it right will probably cost almost as much as the blazer itself.

Great purchases! We have similar body proportions (tall with longer torso) so I find it so interesting to see all your pictures. When you highlight your waist with a slightly shorter top it is very flattering. You have the perfect figure to tuck in tops, and that makes the ballerina sweater so flattering on you.

I find the shape of the dress in #31 so interesting but do not love the colour on you, it is a bit draining. Personally I would not keep #'s 31, 20, 17, 18, 33. The rest are good, with my favourites being 15 and 29.
Enjoy your clothes!

I love these sorts of posts because they really put things in perspective when you have so many items side by side.

The WOW moments for me here were:
#2: I didn't love the tunic on its own, but layered with that perfect ballerina sweater, I like the interest it brings.
The pants in #7-8 and the jacket in #11. The fit on these items really puts things into perspective. Stopped me in my tracks!
#'s 16, 25, 26 stand out to me as well. I can't put my finger on it for the other two, but I think I just love that pink sweater with anything.
Then the show stopper, #34. I was hemming and hawing over whether I liked the dress in #32 and 33 and then I turned the page and it was no contest.

I noticed that for me, crew necks are not my favorite on you. I think I prefer collared shirts the most. I did notice that I liked the crew neck sleeveless tops where the shoulders cut in a bit. I don't really understand the science of proportions, so I can't give meaningful explanations, just opinions.

Also, I love the colors you're working with here. I remember your color pallette post from a while back and these clear pastels are really fantastic for you!

Does anyone know how hard it is to shorten a blazer? Would the J Crew blazer work better if it's shortened, or is the color just wrong?

Sorry, I realized I typed "36" and meant to say 34 in this line: Equally as great is a tailored sleekness that has simple yet elegant lines: Rocking it in #11 and #36. Again, medium tones with white. So some contrast.

These I like best:
3 -- great layering, breaks up top in #1 which is kind of column-y. #2 breaks up this top as well but somehow the styles of the pieces don't work together as well. Whereas I love the ballet sweater with the skirt and long dress shown further below.
6 -- because I'm always a sucker for column of color
11 -- what rabbit said
13 & 14 -- I really like this blazer on you, the neckline and collar are so flattering against your graceful swan neck
15 -- very pretty blouse with interesting soft lines
16 -- I can see why you're already wearing this, this is a great look on you. Shirts never look so perfectly fitted and smooth on me. I can tell you are tall. In fact you have quite the fit model figure!
23 through 26 -- love this skirt on you, it fits you beautifully and suits your style persona as well. It works with so many of these blouses, although #26 not as well as the others. 24 and 26 are my favorites of the 4 skirts looks you're showing here.
27 -- like 16, love you in a button down shirt
29 -- modern but soft. That's a great neck and sleeve line for you. Definitely keep!
30 -- ballerina pretty, and yes the dress is rescued/modernized this way!
33 -- between 32 and 33, I like 33 better, it's a cute casual dress if you have the need/occasion.
34 -- of everything you've shown here, this is my favorite.
35 -- I like this too, but not as much as the dress in 34.

To further address some of your questions:
12 -- Vest. The stance seems too long, lengthening your torso and neck visually. Whereas the jacket in 11's stance is perfect on you. Does that make sense?
17 & 18 -- Floral blouses. They didn't make my "top picks" but I don't dislike them. If you wore them tucked into a skirt I might really like them, but I'm not crazy about them with the white jeans as they need to be either longer or shorter to work as an untucked top.
20 -- I don't love it, I think the proportions are off on the design of this piece. Even though I get that it looks good in movement. It's not you, it's the dress. I vote return.

I hope this is helpful! It's interesting to observe because I learn, and hopefully make fewer on-line shopping mistakes by breaking everything down. For example, I know from just looking at it that the Tibi outfit would look frumpy on me due to my short neck, short torso, fuller bust and wider hips. Whereas on you, it's elegant and modern.

WOW! You certainly have done a lot of work here. I haven't read the other responses yet, and here's mine:
I like the J Crew Maddie and the J Crew straight leg trousers much better than the skinnier pants.
I like the blazer in #11. The other blazer (#13, #14) looks a bit boxy.
The outfit in #1 looks much better than in #2, #3, and #4.
All of the tops are winners, but my least favorite is #17. You look fantastic in vibrant colors.
The dresses in #20, #30-#33 are not my favorites.
The dresses in #34 and #35 are beautiful.
The outfits in #1, #26, #29, and #34 are stunning.
And I LOVE the blouse in #18.
Now I'll have to go back and see what everyone else said!

Swinging back around to get to your questions:

6) The crewnecks look fine, you have a long neck so I think the shape works. The outfits may need a belt or third piece. I agree with AM that the medium depth colors really look great, especially near your face. I count white as one of these colors. I have more difficulty with more washed out watercolor patterns and beigy-pinky colors around your neckline, they just don't seem to have the same 'lifting and brightening' properties of the brighter/purer colors although some might work well in person -- it's hard to tell with indoor photos.

12) The vest does look a little large on the shoulders. The jacket in the pic before looks similar in role but much better in shape and fit.

13) I think the blazer fits, it reminds me very strongly of a Nehru jacket especially with the finish, and that distracts me a bit.

17) The dark linear detail does pick up your glasses well, but I would maybe look for another top with this quality (maybe abstract lines?) it doesn't seem to work as well as many of your other options, maybe because the print seems less modern than what I think you are aiming for to me.

18) I like this, because of the bold colors and the print size and print placement the best of all the floral tops.

20) I think this is a very interesting dress, but I'm not sure the long straight mid-section and the color/print is the most flattering on you.

29) LOVE my favorite out of all the photos.

30) I like the pattern of the maxi dress but feel like it needs a more modern top to make it seem the most current. What if you tried the top of the dress in #29 over it just as an experiment?

32) Again interesting dress, but it doesn't feel like it quite works with your proportions in the way it drapes.

33) Works better at the top, but the skirt feels a little undersized --- I wish it was longer just for proportion reasons (your legs are great).

35) I could go either way, the color and fit is good. Just my two cents so feel free to disregard, but I think that sometimes keeping/buying less is more when working out or changing a style direction. It gives more opportunity to create a tight/cohesive look, and to adjust direction as you live in the clothes and get a more focused understanding of your own preferred style, silhouettes, patterns, and color palette. At least that's what I now tell myself works best for my own wardrobe after a bit of trial and a fair amount of error. ;)

You have some really, really lovely selections here, Staysfit.
Here are a few of my reactions and responses to your questions:

I like the Lafayette shirtdress on you a lot, and I think shirtdresses are current now, so I'd keep. But if you're on the fence, maybe that tells you something. Lots of other great things here that may excite you more.

Love 29! Big Keep.

Not crazy about the maxi rescue. It strikes me as an outdated look, despite the fact that I really love that sweater on you.

Love the white blazer (11) on you. I'm not as crazy about the JCrew (13, 14, 19) though I think the fit and color are good. I think it may be an in-between length on you; I'd like it shorter (to high hip) or longer for a boyfriend look.

Of the floral blouses, I much prefer 18 to 17 for some reason. Though I like 17 under the blazer in 19.

The Maddie pants look like they're made for you! I like them best with the shorter tops (7 & 8).

My favorite outfits of the bunch are 15, 7, 26, 29, and 34. Those are really swoon-worthy.

I like the Athleta tank dress and would consider keeping it. I prefer it to the one with sleeves. You might try the tank dress with Birks for a nice casual look. Or with a flat dressy sandal.

The Tory Burch dress looks quite different for you. Perhaps it is has wild card potential?

Wow you are so organized! I'm on my iPad so am having some issues flipping back and forth, so here are the things that jumped out at me, without reading though previous replies:

-Love the WHBM white blazer on you! The yellow gold one is okay but seems a bit rectangular to me. The white one is fab.
-I'm not a big fan of the Tory Burch dress
-I absolutely love the lilac sweater paired with the JCrew striped pencil skirt. LOVE that pencil skirt on you. Nice fit and great colours to work with so many things in your wardrobe
-tibi popover dress is STUNNING on you. Love it
-I'd return #33 Athleta dress. Nice colour but seems a bit short

Hope that helps a bit. Lots of stuff to chew on here

This is what stood out for me (pardon my bluntness):
Favorites are #s 3, 11, 29, 31 and 34.
I am not crazy about any of the floral tops on you. They don't seem to suit you as well as solids and more angular patterns.
The vest seems to big and I am not crazy about the blazer color in 13/14. The white blazer in 11 is smashing and your best.
I like the tank dress better than the other Athleta dress - the length looks too short on you. Neither hold a candle to the sheath dress.
The pink wrap top looks best on its own and not layered.
You have some great stuff to work with here SF!

Donna - thanks for your quick assessment. Looks like you favor the dresses and skirt looks. I'm working to add more interesting dresses to my wardrobe.

Rabbit - (11) I was lucky with the WHBM blazer. It's probably the only blazer I have found that fits me well, feels good to wear, and looks nice. The one drawback is the sleeves are a bit snug so I have to wear sleeveless tops or camisoles underneath. (18) I think I can wear this shade of yellow. I was mostly wondering about the placement of the blue roses. I think they're pretty, but I'm used to a pattern that is spaced uniformly over the material, not an asymmetric pattern like this.

Dianthus - (24&26) I'm glad you like the pencil skirt. I also prefer the tucked blouse or the ballet sweater with this skirt. After playing around with the different tops, it occurred to me that I could treat it like a solid white skirt. (16) I love this shirt. I already wore it twice! I agree with you about the lengths of the tops! I need to pay attention to proportion.

Summer - thanks for your feedback! I can see there is a consensus growing around the Tibi dress (29) and the WHBM blazer (11).

Joy - belts would have been a good addition, I agree! I'm glad you like the EF organic linen sweater. I love that. I think it's very pretty, although I'm not sure how that comes across in a photo. It's very sheer, and I think that's hard to capture well. I appreciate all your thought about length/proportion.

Merwoman, I see in the photos how nice the straight legs look compared with the skinnys. I appreciate your suggestion to wear a more fluid/loose top with the skinny jeans, etc. I think I mostly do that, but for me it also has to do with my leg length. The skinny jeans start to look better as soon as I put on heels. My legs are proportionally short, (significantly so given my height, something like 4").

Laura - thanks for commenting on the J Crew Regent Blazer. I wondered about the color. I also wondered if it was a bit stiff. Compared with everything else I have purchased, this item feels restricting even though it seems to fit. The material is non-pliant. (20). I truly appreciate feedback about this dress. It is an unusual shape. Maybe too boxy and sack like.

Wow. So much effort. Good for you!

First. My initial thoughts.
I'm drawn to the looks where the tops (sometimes with bottom) that have some softness, flow, no collar, and a medium tone. #1 (pants need shortening), #15, #29 (all flow and black/white). Just great.

Equally as great is a tailored sleekness that has simple yet elegant lines: Rocking it in #11 and #36. Again, medium tones with white. So some contrast.

I also like medium tones/brightness of the crews in #7 and #8. I think scarves with these would make these wonderful.

A couple of suggestions.

Wear the dewberry EF sweater alone over jeans. Keeping the look simple. Again, some flow in the top.

WHBM blouse with tulip sleeves with the white stripe skirt. I think this would be fab. (tucked in)

Eileen Fisher Project Organic Linen Sheer V-Neck Sweater (love this piece) you have pictured with tan pants, I'd like to see it with white pants.

As for your questions that I feel I can answer (some I just don't know how to answer):
17. Floral Blouse - Not my favorite. Doesn't feel like it is working to me.
18. Equipment Silk floral blouse. Something about you in collars strikes me as old fashion. I really like you in other necklines. Not a fan of this blouse.
20. Tory Burch Silk Dress. I want to like this but just not sure I do. Which probably means I would pass.
32./33. Lafayette Shirt dress - I think you can do better.

You look great in pretty high contrast outfits. White with a medium/bright tone in particular: White/Cobalt, White/Periwinkle, White/Watermelon, White/Charcoal, White/Teal. I'm not sure about etherial colors because these medium colors with some depth and intensity work really well for you. I'd like to see you in White/Black, White/Red, White/Navy.

Very well done! I'm jealous of your progress.
