Gorgeous shade of lavender in that sweater -love it paired with black and grey. </p> https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/picasso-challenge-6-acrobat-redux#post-1462609 Tue, 24 Mar 2015 21:04:19 +0000 Diana 1462609@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ <p>You might recall that, on Friday, I abandoned my orignally-planned Acrobat outfit idea for a <a href="http://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/picasso-challenge-5-acrobat-goes-to-the-symphony" rel="nofollow">more symphony-appropriate version</a>.&nbsp; I liked the original idea though, so I am wearing it today instead.&nbsp; This one is more literal with the colors and lines.&nbsp; </p> <p>The aspects of the painting I am focusing on today are: <ul> <li>The long, sinuous white lines of the figure.</li> <li>The colors - shades of purple and white.</li> <li>The idea of the Acrobat as stretchy and sporty (thanks to Kiwigal for the idea!).</li> </ul> <br />Apparently all my Acrobats are animals.&nbsp; On Friday, it was snakes, and today it's zebras.&nbsp; I thought the stripes on the zebra tee were very reminiscent of the lines of the Acrobat.&nbsp; I paired that with my handknit lilac sweater jacket for the purple shade; the cables on the sweater are also long and sinuous and curving.&nbsp; My taupe boots are another echo of the lighter shades in the painting and match the zebra stripes (interestingly enough, I am not actually wearing any true white.)&nbsp; For the sporty/stretchy aspect, I went with my faux skirted leggings look with my sweatshirt-material skirt over black leggings.</p> <p>Bonus silly attempt at an Acrobat pose.&nbsp; ;)</p> <p>(handknit sweater jacket, Edista tee, Tulle skirt, Gap leggings, Rieker/Remonte Dorndorf boots)</p>
