Angie and Rachy, I am really loving this long vest over dresses. It's somehow easier than a long blazer - less likely to swallow me up. I am thinking I want a white one! Msgulia, I have to admit that the quality of this ON dress is a bit lacking. I had to darn up a small hole before I put it on! But it is nice looking and comfy. It's the only ON I own right now, since I hardly ever look there. Diana on "Picasso Challenge #5: Acrobat goes to the symphony" https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/picasso-challenge-5-acrobat-goes-to-the-symphony#post-1460440 Fri, 20 Mar 2015 16:01:32 +0000 Diana 1460440@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ A very lateral interpretation today.  I had an entirely different outfit planned for the Acrobat, but we got last-minute tickets to the symphony and that outfit would have been inappropriate.  Plus I can't miss an opportunity to dress up!  I will do the originally planned Acrobat outfit on the weekend or Monday instead, so I guess you'll get six instead of five Picasso outfits.  For today's symphony-appropriate outfit, I focused on: <ul> <li>The long, sinuous lines both of the painting itself and the idea of the acrobat.</li> <li>The pop of white.</li> </ul> So what is long, slinky, and sinuous?  Snakes, of course!  So I am wearing my snake print sweater dress.  It's also form-fitting and stretchy, which fits with the idea of the acrobat.  I also echoed the slinky lines in my silver rings - a snaky squiggle and a Möbius strip.  The long vest, black tights, and black boots create a long line in keeping with the Acrobat's long limbs.  Finally, I added the pop of white with a cream infinity scarf; the long loop shape also suggests the Acrobat's curves.  I like the idea of infinity (both in the scarf and in the Möbius ring) here too.  The scarf also makes this outfit more casual and more appropriate for work; I may remove it for the evening activities, although I'm not sure.  Honestly it may depend on how cold it is.  It is supposed to snow tonight!  Happy first day of spring?  (Old Navy dress, handknit scarf, Kenneth Cole vest, Blondo boots).
