I didn't have a way to add blue in my version, but jeans are a great choice. Funny, I didn't see this painting as calming. I suppose in relation to the other choices, it is the calmest, but there was something about the bony limbs that felt gruesome to me. I kept imaging sounds of hollow tubes beating against each other! This is the painting I was most excited about interpreting.  To me it conveys a sense of contentment and calm, in contrast to yesterday's prickly, difficult Charnel House.  The elements of the painting that I wanted to play up today were: <ul> <li>The colors - shades of grey and taupe set off by two different, midtoned blues.  </li> <li>The long, gently curving lines.</li> <li>The play of different textures.</li> <li>The overall harmony of the look and feel of the painting.</li> </ul> I knew immediately that I wanted to use this draped, crossover tunic/dress with its ink-brush grey and white pattern.  Some of the greys in the print are on the warm side, shading into taupe.  My grey patent boots provide another shade of grey as well as a diferent texture.  For the two blues, I wanted to use something mid-toned, nothing too bright or saturated.  Denim is perfect, as is the darker, light navy cardigan.  Finally, the draping lines of the top and cardigan evoke the sinuous lines of the figure in the painting.  (H&M tunic, Kenar cardigan, Vince jeans, Naot boots)
