The removal of the straps is somewhat misleading:(. What bothers me is that the original photos are gorgeous and it's so disappointing that such minor things are airbrushed. The models become so "perfect" relateability is almost impossible.

I can barely see the difference in some of these, but at least now I understand why the models always seem more uplifted in strapless tops!

I agree with you, this is not nearly as bad as I would have expected. I think I'm just inured to a certain level of photoshopping in all images I see. To be honest, what bugs me more is that they blatantly change details of the clothing, like removing straps. This seems dishonest when the point of these ads is to sell said clothing.

I just want to know when anyone would want 'less defined abs'?? I get making things look 'better' but I had no idea a smoother stomach was more desirable than ab muscles.

I worked at the major printing house where Playboy was/is printed, and you would not BELIEVE the files of a lot of the celebrities published there. The difference was night and day in terms of slimming middles and limbs and enhancing breasts and erasing marks on skin. A lot of the younger women's photos were like the VS pictures and didn't seem incredibly different - just touches up here and there and enhancements here and there. But famous people? Most of them didn't look ANYTHING like the published pictures.
