Sveta, I got black, but I already have navy (and it's a good navy, very dark and rich) as well as heathered silver, which is a very pale soft grey. They're both nice colours, but for some reason the navy one gets far more wear. I've been wanting a black one for years. (I did have a camel one too, but I felt yucky every time I wore it so I passed it on).

Marilyn, I saw that gingham Tippi sweater in the catalog. It's very cute and fresh-looking. Hope they start stocking petites in Ottawa!

BonnieG, you will probably like the Tippi sweater for winter. It's lightweight and very soft (I generally can't wear wool, but I can wear these) but surprisingly durable. I size up so it drapes a little. It also has a nice neckline and useful bracelet sleeves (I find long sleeves get in the way sometimes).

Gaylene, I started washing mine on your advice, and so far it has been working well. I put mine in a laundry bag, on cold, handwash cycle. I've always like the way a Tippi fits (I size up for drape too), but mine didn't become real workhorses until this year, when I knew I didn't have to bother with dry cleaning. Thanks for the tip!

All my Tippi sweaters have been workhorses. They get washed on delicate cycle in cold water in the washing machine and are dried flat--and they endure this treatment for years without stretching or pilling.

I usually size up because I like my Tippis drapey.

I saw the Tippi sweaters in the local JCrew, but decided not to try them since we have 6+ months of hot weather coming. Next fall, I will be looking for lightweight sweaters and this is a good recommendation.

Petites in store! I hope they do that in Ottawa as well.

I'm so happy that they've expanded the petite selection a bit with the addition of some knits and tees. The petite items always sell so fast.....it seems like a good indication to me that the demand is there.

I picked up the Tippi in the navy/white gingham print and I love it. I don't like preppy style at all but something about a navy gingham make me happy. Probably the graphic nature of the squares.

Anyone else out there a Tippi sweater lover?

I've just discovered that our downtown J. Crew has started stocking a few petite styles -- Yay! (Can you tell I've just finished the semester and am on a long-awaited shopping binge). They've got petite Tippi sweaters, and I've always been curious if these would fit me better -- they do! One thing, though; I had to size up to get the same width. But still. I am very happy. I wear these sweaters all the time, and they are comfy, drape nicely, have a useful and flattering sleeve length, and last a long time (very little pilling). I see why the style is so popular.
