I agree with Cindy's comments, I think I have read that the horizontal line on a cuffed boot can shorten the leg line so I would avoid them, do you have enough width in the leg opening to wear the over ankle booties?

I think a knee high boot could work as long as there's not a lot of contrast between the color of the boot and the jean. For example, black or dark blue jeans with your black boots. A slouchy, calf high boot would also look great.

I am also petite and wear both styles. It's all about balance, so post some photos!

So I am just starting to embrace the skinny jeans look. It took me a while... it just felt like such a throwback to the 80s. (It still kind of does to me, but I am trying to get over that.)

I am short (5-feet and 1/4 inch, lol) and have very short legs. Almost all of my boots are either knee-high, fitted-in-the-calf black leather boots or work/hiking boot style. Would the fitted knee high boots make my legs look too short? Would I be better off with a mid-shin slouchy boot or boot with a cuffed, wider top?

Any advice is appreciated! Thanks!
