@modgirl--i tried purple feather with the seamed black skirt as they didn't have magenta in the store. The sales person said it would coordinate, but if you saw it in person and it's clashing, I might have to break those two up and just wear the top with black or white.

@april-I am also 5'2. According to the measurements, the petite seamed skirt is 1.5 inches shorter than the regular size. On me, the 6p hit started at my natural waist and fell to the top of my knee, so a conservative length. I think it depends on how long or short waisted you are is where the hem will fall. As long as it's easy for you to return, I say go for it!

Stunning report! Fab loot and well done. I hope we see you model your goodies soon.

I always take my petite clients to regular sized clothing too. Certain brands fit them very well.

wow! you really scored!
Am I the only one who finds it odd that the website doesn't show a back view of the halogen "back button" sweater? If you're going to name a sweater "button" anything, shouldn't the pic show the buttons? just sayin....

Oh my goodness, Briar -- you may have pointed out the first thing in this year's NAS that will force me to purchase it. I had not seen that Classiques Entier Permian vest, but now it's calling to me...

Can I ask you a question about the famous Halogen seamed knit skirt? I see that the smallest size they have in Petites is a 2, which I don't think will work for me. But there is a 0 in the magenta color in regular sizing -- can you comment on the length/fit of this skirt? If I buy the regular, will it be way too long? (I'm 5" 2').

Yes, I went to the store today and I was also pleasantly surprised with the petite assortment. I only had a hour to shop so I didn't even get out of the petite section but I managed to do plenty of damage there. As Angie noted, many of the smallest sizes were already gone even though it was only day 2 of the sale.

Did you put the Gianetta blouse in purple feather near the magenta skirt? They are close in color but they do not look good together.

With Angie’s encouragement after my less than stellar 6:30 am Friday online shopping experience with NAS petites, I headed over to the store today and was very pleasantly surprised. I found many items in regular sizes that fit me quite well. Some of the tops were only a tad too long in the sleeves and they were hemmed for free. As reference, I typically wear a size 6 petite or size 4/6 misses.

What I purchased

Halogen seamed skirt in brown http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/ha.....rt/3167843 The 6p was a bit tight, so I had the 8p taken in. This skirt fit differently than the Halogen seamed knit skirt which I took in 6p (yeah! the one I ordered online will fit!) and the Halogen tweed exposed zip pencil which fit in 6p and 4. I did not buy the exposed zip pencil because it was too short for me, but it looks much higher quality than the price would suggest.

Halogen peplum sweater http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/ha.....et/3167823 I purchased the regular small and having the sleeve length altered because the petite small made me look even more short waisted than I am.

Lafayette 148 navy skirt http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/la.....rt/2873373 I paid full price, but needed it for work. The fabric was beautiful, it fit like a dream in the hips and waist and I just needed a small hem.

Pleione v neck top in Kelly green in Small—The picture on the web doesn’t do this top justice. The green is a closer to emerald green. The web shows a deep v, but this fit well without a camisole http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/pl.....op/3179178

Nexx silk ruffled blouse in black, size Small-Looked much better on than on the hanger http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/ne.....se/3183983

Olivia Moon print chiffon in red print--I have been looking at this top online for some time, but was convinced it had pastel pink and purple flowers, but in person the colors are very bold. Size small, straight fit over the hips. I can see I’ll be wearing this a bunch over a cami and leggings with boots or AGL flats.
http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/ol.....se/3204714

Gianetta blouse in purple feather-This is one of Angie’s previous store recommendations. It coordinates with the magenta halogen skirt http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/gi.....te/3211973. I had to size up to PM, as the PS was too tight across the upper back/chest.

Nick and Noe drape neck top--There is a tab sewn into the front of the drape neck that keeps the neckline from moving. Genius. Bought one for the pointelle sweater and another for the animal print http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/ni.....op/3185089. See Janet’s modeling it here http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....ught-a-lot

Halogen Back button top- http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/ha.....er/3167821. I know several YLFers have already purchased this, but I thought it would swallow me up and hide my waist, but it fit great in Petite S, so I bought one in Navy. Looks great with dark navy, black or charcoal bottoms.

Nick and Noe pointelle sweater in Neptune-Looked frumpy until I paired with leggings, then I really liked it The bottom is somewhat A line and would work well for curvy bottom gals http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/ni.....an/3180747. Colorwise, it was a hard choice between the Neptune blue and the Carmine (brick red/orange). Nice saturated colors.

Beatrix Abstract print sweater-Another item where the website doesn’t do it justice. On my screen, the colors look very muted, but in person, the colors are deeper. Just having the sleeves hemmed. Creates a very sleek look over leggings or pencil skirt. http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/be.....an/3185641

Classiques Entier Permian plaid vest—Online this looks really dull, but I lit up when I tried it on with the black and blue pencil skirts with Nexx black ruffle blouse underneath It has black, blue and espresso brown threads. Gives great curves without wearing a full jacket. Size 4 regular, no alterations. http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/cl.....st/3172718

What I didn’t buy but wanted to comment on size/quality:

Classiques Entier Lamb Moss Leather Jacket—Angie wasn’t kidding--this jacket is simply amazing, buttery soft and has beautiful tailored details. I wanted to make this color work so bad, but my skin is olive that it didn’t work despite all attempts with multi colored tops. I can see this being amazing on a different skin tone. Size Small fit my 6p size perfectly http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/cl.....et/3172695

Via Spiga Knit and Leather-This coat was way too tight for my muscular biceps, but it is a beautiful coat and otherwise fit my frame in size S. http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/vi.....et/3176401

Lafayette 148 trousers—Could not find a single pair that worked well for curvy thighs and booty. Urgh!

Picking up my alterations in two weeks, so stylings to follow!
