They were not in any clique nor had any air of exclusivity. On the contrary, they were perfectly ordinary, friendly. But they had an older sister and very congenial, encouraging parents. My perception is that they simply checked the stores out a lot and shopped typical main street stores. Now, where they got the idea for the white lipstick&nbsp; - yes, it was that long ago - I can't figure out. But plenty of us copied them, not wanting to be like them - they were simply some of our friends - but wanting to try out the styles for ourselves.&nbsp; On the other hand, all 3 sisters and the mother sported the same unusual style of bangs and not one of us wanted to try that. What kind of person is most likely to start a trend?</p> <p> Is it the outgoing people who mingle and party but usually wear what’s “in style”,<br /> the shy; reserved people who have their own unique sense of style,<br /> or someone in between not quite outgoing but not shy and mixes it up with style constantly changing?</p> <p>I always thought the outgoing, party people were most influential because they advertise and make themselves known and some people might think popular is what we must follow to fit in, but I’m not so sure so id love to hear what you all think! </p>
