Given that it's Pendleton I would have assumed flannel. I do think the pattern and pocket placement is above average on the plaids, but they aren't particularly special. I took home the blue/pink because it was essentially free with gap cash and nothing else was tickling my fancy. I was really disappointed to discover that the tops are viscose instead of cotton. I had really hoped to replace my flannel shirt, but I don't think viscose is going to give me the cozy factor I'm looking for. Nice colors if anyone is in the market for plaid. And, oddly, they used flannel as a detail on some women's items, just not on the shirts. </p>
