Hi Lannie, I have been using a foot file for years. Its not a Ped Egg, but it is the same concept. I use it daily in the summer when my feet are in sandals or bare most of the time. Sandals, flipflops and barefeet do a number on my feet. I had cracked heels just like you.

I used to use it with my foot over the toilet to catch all the skin that didn't stay in the container. But now I use it in the shower, with wet feet and works just as well, if not better.

Okay, so this isn't exactly about fashion per se, but it is about footcare, which is important for the next two months that we'll be wearing sandals, open-toed shoes, and so forth. I generally try to take good care of my feet (buffing, scrubbing, moisturizing, keeping toes painted, etc) but this summer my heels have really gotten away from me and became callused, cracked, and dry. My emery board was just not doing the job so I bought that PedEgg, the thing in the ads on TV that's like a cheese grater for your feet. I'll admit I bought it because I saw some good reviews of it on Youtube (hey, the people have spoken). I gave it a try tonight on some pretty nasty, dry heels and it worked! You have to put some elbow grease into it for sure, and the egg does NOT trap all the filings like they claim (they go all over the place), but after enough time you do end up smoothing things out. Thumbs up from me! Has anyone else tried it yet? Does the file stay sharp/hold up to use?
I bought it at Zellers (Canadian store) for $14.99. It works as far as I can tell, but no matter what they claim it WILL make a bit of a mess. It will also take some time, but anyone who is used to using pumice stones or emery boards on their heels know it takes some energy and effort. Now I'll have smooth heels for my sister's wedding, huzzah!
Here's the official website (with the silly advertisement): http://www.pedegg.com/?directL.....A70A71440A
